PCB waste definition

PCB waste means any product containing PCBs, as defined under s. 299.45 (1) (c), which is subject to regulation under s. 299.45 after the product becomes a solid waste. This term also means any material which is contaminated by the discharge, as defined under s. 292.01 (3), of a substance containing PCBs subject to regulation under s. 292.11.

PCB waste means a PCB waste within the meaning of Ontario Regulation 362 made under the Environmental Protection Act (Ontario).

PCB waste means PCB Waste as defined by O.Reg. 362 of the Environmental Protection Act, such as PCB equipment, PCB liquid or PCB material but excluding decontaminated PCB material or equipment, or equipment with PCB at levels below the definition of PCB waste in Provincial regulations.

Examples of PCB waste in a sentence

• Any PCB waste shall be disposed of as required by subpart D of this part within 1-year from the date it was determined to be PCB waste and the decision was made to dispose of it.

• The department may exempt a person estab- lishing, constructing or operating certain categories of facilities which store or treat PCB waste or which store or treat certain types, amounts or concentrations of PCB waste from the provi- sions of this section.

• The spent absorbent shall be properly contained and disposed of as solid PCB waste.

• Any person storing PCB waste that is subject to the 1-year time limit for storage and disposal in paragraph (a)(1) of this sec- tion may provide written notification to the EPA Regional Administrator for the Region in which the PCB waste is stored that their continuing attempts to dispose of or secure disposal for their waste within the 1-year time limit have been unsuccessful.

• Any person who holds PCB waste must store it in accordance with § 761.65.

More Definitions of PCB waste

PCB waste means a PCB waste within the meaning of 0. Reg.362, as amended, made under the Environmental Protection Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. E.19, as amended;

PCB waste means a PCB liquid, a PCB solid or a piece of PCB equipment that is taken out of service for the purpose of disposal;

PCB waste means any waste or waste item which is not included in the definition of "hazardous waste" and which is contaminated with polychlo- rinated biphenyls.

PCB waste means PCB waste as defined in Regulation 362 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 (Waste Management — PCB’s) made under the Act;

PCB waste means a PCB waste within the meaning of Ontario regulation 352, made under the EPA;

PCB waste means a PCB liquid, a PCB solid, or a piece of PCB equipment that is taken out of service for the purpose of disposal as defined in the PCB Storage Site Regulation, or any future amendments;
