Personal Care Field definition

Personal Care Field means the field of skin care, hair care, personal hygiene (e.g., bath and shower, oral hygiene, deodorants, baby care) and beautification (e.g., decorative cosmetics, fragrances and perfumes).

Personal Care Field shall have the meaning given to it in Section 1.11. 1.31 “Pharmaceuticals” shall mean therapeutics requiring FDA approval. 1.32 “Product” shall mean a product for use in the APD Fields (i) that is developed using the Licensed Technology or an Improvement; (ii) which comprises any of the Landec Intelimer Materials, or (iii) that is covered by any of the Patent Properties. 1.33 “Proprietary Information” of a disclosing Party disclosed to the receiving Party hereunder shall mean any confidential information relating to the disclosing Party’s business and/or technology and which is labeled as confidential or proprietary or identified in writing as confidential or proprietary. 1.34 “Proprietary Rights” shall mean all intellectual property rights whether registrable or not of any sort anywhere in the world. 1.35 “R&D Period” shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3.1. 1.36 “Reserved Fields” shall initially mean the fields of (i) architectural and industrial coatings (excluding powder coatings) and (ii) electronics (e.g. processing materials for semiconductor component manufacturing, battery materials or flat panel displays); or such other fields as replace these initial Reserved Fields in accordance with Section 5. 1.37 “Term” shall have the meaning given to it in Section 10.1. 1.38 “Thermoset Latent Catalysts” shall mean Landec Intelimer Materials used as catalysts, effectors, activators, cross-linkers, initiators and/or precursors thereof to enhance or inhibit polymerization. 1.39 “Work Plan” shall mean the work plan that is attached hereto as Exhibit B, which is incorporated by reference herein, as amended, modified, extended or replaced upon mutual agreement of the Parties.

More Definitions of Personal Care Field

Personal Care Field means the research, development, production and/or sale of products or processes incorporating Licensed Patents or Licensed Know-How for use as a Cosmetic or in a consumer care product having a consumer noticeable benefit or claim but not regulated under the Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act, the Medical Devices Act and any amendments or updates thereto, in skin care ("Skin Care Products"), hair care ("Hair Care Products"), or oral care or other personal care markets ("Other Personal Care Products"). For the avoidance of doubt, even if the products or processes used or sold in the Personal Care Field are subject to regulation in the United States under the Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act, the Medical Devices Act and any amendments or updates thereto, (collectively "The Act") they shell not be deemed to be within the Health Care Field retained by PPT, unless such products are drugs, devices or biologicals as defined under "The Act".

  • Residential care facility means an institution, residence, or facility that is licensed by the department of mental health under section 5119.22 of the Revised Code and that provides care for a child.

  • Residential Zone means a zone earmarked for buildings exclusively designed for human habitation and in no case shall include its use in whole or a part thereof for any other purpose e.g commercial activities, school, institution, shop, office, clinic, beauty parlor, guest house, marriage center, gymnasium, tuition center, club activities, work-shop, store or godown etc. or for the purpose of political, religious and sectarian activities. It includes parks, gardens, play grounds, sector shops and other open spaces located in the area earmarked in the residential zone.

  • Adult foster care facility means an adult foster care facility licensed under the adult foster care facility licensing act, 1979 PA 218, MCL 400.701 to 400.737.

  • Child care facility or “facility” means a child care center, a preschool, or a registered child development home.

  • Intensive Care Unit means an identified section, ward or wing of a hospital which is under the constant supervision of a dedicated medical practitioner(s), and which is specially equipped for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients who are in a critical condition, or require life support facilities and where the level of care and supervision is considerably more sophisticated and intensive than in the ordinary and other wards.
