Pregnancy Intention Initiative definition

Pregnancy Intention Initiative means a program for improving women’s health outcomes that includes women’s health care providers in the Blueprint. Participating providers deliver preventive care, psychosocial screenings, comprehensive family planning counseling, and access to long-acting reversible contraception, when chosen by the patient and clinically appropriate. This program was formerly known as the Women’s Health Initiative or WHI.

  • The Subrecipient shall provide data as requested by the State for evaluation of the core programs or APM and any additional services (such as the Blueprint CHT Expansion Pilot, MOUD initiative, or Pregnancy Intention Initiative), including, but not limited to, proof of participation in chart reviews, patient experience of care surveys, and focus groups.

  • Current and new initiatives include: the MOUD and Pregnancy Intention Initiative programs, the Blueprint CHT Expansion Pilot program, implementation of the All-Payer Model, the population health care model, coordinating the Accountable Community for Health, and coordinating the Self-Management Programs now administered through the Vermont Department of Health.

  • The Subrecipient will report on each aspect of Blueprint implementation, including, but not limited to: • Community Health Team Staffing and Administration; • Pregnancy Intention Initiative Implementation; • Engagement in Community Collaborative/Accountable Community for Health • Participation in Quality Improvement Initiatives • New Blueprint and/or other ACO Initiatives as appropriate.

  • Through the Pregnancy Intention Initiative, women’s health specialty providers Blueprint Patient Centered Medical Homes are providing enhanced health and psychosocial screening along with comprehensive family planning counseling and timely access to long-acting reversible contraception (LARC).

  • Through the Pregnancy Intention Initiative, people who can become pregnant receive substantial preventive care services in OB-GYN and women’s health clinic settings.

  • The Subrecipient shall provide data as requested by the State for evaluation of the core programs or APM and any additional services (such as the MOUD initiative or Pregnancy Intention Initiative), including, but not limited to, proof of participation in chart reviews, patient experience of care surveys, and focus groups.

  • In addition, the Subrecipient will participate in all Community Collaborative activities in the areas served by its participating clinics and training events related to the Pregnancy Intention Initiative.

  • The Subrecipient shall participate in local Pregnancy Intention Initiative meetings in communities where PPNNE clinics are located and in local Blueprint CHT staff meetings as agreed to by the Subrecipient and the local Blueprint Program Manager.

  • The Blueprint also created theWomen’s Health Initiative (renamed Pregnancy Intention Initiative), to ensure access to services that support pregnancy intention.

Related to Pregnancy Intention Initiative

  • Study means the investigation to be conducted in accordance with the Protocol.

  • Pregnancy means carrying a child, resulting childbirth, miscarriage and non-elective abortion. The Plan considers Pregnancy as a Sickness for the purpose of determining benefits.

  • Attack directed against any civilian population means a course of conduct involving the multiple commission of acts referred to in paragraph 1 against any civilian population, pursuant to or in furtherance of a State or organizational policy to commit such attack;

  • Screening means the evaluation process used to identify an individual's ability to perform activities of daily living and address health and safety concerns.

  • Health screening means the use of one or more diagnostic tools to test a person for the presence or precursors of a particular disease.

  • Acute toxicity means concurrent and delayed adverse effects that result from an acute exposure and occur within any short observation period, which begins when the exposure begins, may extend beyond the exposure period, and usually does not constitute a substantial portion of the life span of the organism.

  • PDPA means Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

  • Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

  • Immediate precursor means a substance which the Board of Pharmacy has found to be and by regulation designates as being the principal compound commonly used or produced primarily for use, and which is an immediate chemical intermediary used or likely to be used in the manufacture of a controlled substance, the control of which is necessary to prevent, curtail, or limit manufacture.

  • Embryo/fetus means the developing human organism from conception until the time of birth.

  • Autism spectrum disorder means a neuro-developmental condition typically appearing in the first three years of life that significantly affects a person's ability to communicate, understand relationships and relate to others, and is frequently associated with unusual or stereotypical rituals or behaviours.

  • Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) means an individual who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and who operates the EBT.

  • Clinical means having a significant relationship, whether real or potential, direct or indirect, to the actual rendering or outcome of dental care, the practice of dentistry, or the quality of dental care being rendered to a patient;

  • Progressive discipline means a process of applying and documenting disciplinary actions progressing from less to more serious depending on the employee’s history and the nature of the offense.

  • Medical cannabis pharmacy means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Anesthesiologist means a physician granted clinical privileges to administer anesthesia.

  • Screening Test Technician (STT) means anyone who instructs and assists individuals in the alcohol testing process and operates an ASD.

  • Phase 3 Trial means a human clinical trial of a Product on a sufficient number of subjects that is designed to establish that a pharmaceutical product is safe and efficacious for its intended use, and to determine warnings, precautions and adverse reactions that are associated with such pharmaceutical product in the dosage range to be prescribed, which trial is intended to support Approval of a Product, as described in 21 C.F.R. 312.21(c) for the United States, or a similar clinical study prescribed by the Regulatory Authorities in a foreign country.

  • HCD means the California Department of Housing and Community Development.

  • Physiotherapist means a health care professional who is registered in the part of the register maintained by the Health Professions Council under article 5 of the Health and Social Work Professions Order 2001 (establishment and maintenance of register) relating to physiotherapists and:

  • Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.

  • Juvenile means any person defined as a juvenile in any member state or by the rules of the Interstate Commission, including:

  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation or "CPR" means artificial ventilation or external chest compression applied to a person who is unresponsive and not breathing.

  • Root Cause Analysis means a method of problem solving designed to identify the underlying causes of a problem. The focus of a root cause analysis is on systems, processes, and outcomes that require change to reduce the risk of harm.

  • Severe Intellectual Disability means a level of functioning severely below age expectations whereby in a consistent basis the student is incapable of giving evidence of understanding and responding in a positive manner to simple directions expressed in the child's primary mode of communication and cannot in some manner express basic wants and needs.

  • Autism spectrum disorders means any of the pervasive developmental disorders as defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th edition, published by the American Psychiatric Association, including autistic disorder, Asperger's disorder and pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified.
