Privacy and Data Protection Laws definition

Privacy and Data Protection Laws shall refer to any and all Privacy and Data Protection Laws applicable to C3 and/or the Customer in relation to Personal Information that is processed in the course of performing its obligations under this Agreement, including the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, if applicable, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation).
Privacy and Data Protection Laws means any and/or all laws, rules, directives and regulations, on any local, provincial, state, federal or national level, pertaining to data privacy, data security and/or the protection of Personal Data including, but not limited to: (a) the European Directive 95/46/EC, as amended, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as and when effective, and each European Union Member Statesnational implementation thereof; (b) the Australian Privacy Xxx 0000 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection Act) (2012); (c) the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, SC 2000, c 5 (PIPEDA); (d) the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA); (e) additional privacy and data protection laws applicable to Customers’ location; and (f) any successor legislation or regulations applicable thereto.
Privacy and Data Protection Laws means any and/or all laws, rules, directives and regulations, on any local, provincial, state, federal or national level, pertaining to data privacy, data security and/or the protection of Personal Data including, but not limited to:

Examples of Privacy and Data Protection Laws in a sentence

  • Customer will ensure that Customer’s privacy policy is readily accessible to anyone from or about whom Customer collects data and, if required by applicable law, Customer will provide those Data Subjects with the ability to exercise rights applicable to their Personal Data under applicable Privacy and Data Protection Laws, such as opting- out of disclosure of their Personal Data by Customer.

  • Customer also confirms and warrants that it will inform Data Subjects in particular of the transfer and storage by Ekata of their Personal Data outside the country in which it was collected (e.g., transfer to and storage in the United States), the ways in which their Personal Data will be Processed by Customer and Ekata, and any other information required by applicable Privacy and Data Protection Laws.

  • At the Effective Time (as defined in Section 1.02), subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement and in accordance with the provisions of the UBCA, Merger Sub shall be merged (the “Merger”) with and into the Company.

  • Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that its use of the Services and Ekata Data, including Customer’s provision of Customer Data to Ekata as contemplated in the Principal Agreement or this Agreement, does not violate any laws, in particular any applicable Privacy and Data Protection Laws.

  • C3 Data Protection Officer: Any access request, inquiries, complaints or simple comments related to C3’s privacy practices and compliance to Privacy and Data Protection Laws should be addressed to C3’s Data Protection Officer.

  • In performing this Agreement, including without limitation by using the Application Services and providing Customer Data, Customer must comply, and ensure its officers, employees, agents and contractors comply, with all Privacy and Data Protection Laws in respect of all Personal Data contained in the customer data, or otherwise provided to QIVOS.

  • Customer may reasonably object to PandaDoc’s use of a new Sub-processor (e.g., if making Personal Data available to the Sub-processor may violate Applicable Privacy and Data Protection Laws or weaken the protections for such Personal Data) by notifying PandaDoc promptly in writing within 30 business days after Customer becomes aware of such change.

  • Customer may notify PandaDoc in writing from time to time of any variations to this DPA which are required as a result of a change in Applicable Privacy and Data Protection Laws .

  • Customer may contact PandaDoc in accordance with the “Notices” Section of the Agreement to request an audit of PandaDoc’s procedures relevant to the protection of Personal Data, but only to the extent required under Applicable Privacy and Data Protection Laws and Customer shall not disrupt PandaDoc’s business operations during the performance of such audit.

  • The Customer acknowledges and agrees to be responsible for all activity occurring under its Users’ accounts and to abide by all applicable laws in connection with its use of the C3 Hub, including Privacy and Data Protection Laws.

Privacy and Data Protection Laws means any and/or all laws, rules, directives and regulations, on any local, provincial, state, federal or national level, pertaining to data privacy, data security and/or the protection of Personal Data including, but not limited to: (a) the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and each European Union Member Statesnational implementation thereof; (b) the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection Act) (2012);
Privacy and Data Protection Laws means all applicable international, federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules, regulations, directives and governmental requirements relating in any way to the privacy, confidentiality, security and protection of personal data.
Privacy and Data Protection Laws shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3.13.
Privacy and Data Protection Laws means all applicable laws, rules, regulations, directives and governmental requirements relating in any way to the privacy, confidentiality, security and protection of Personal Data, including, without limitation, the EU Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and e-Privacy Directive 2002/58/EC as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC and any relevant national implementing legislation, as well as guidance and recommendations from the competent Regulators.
Privacy and Data Protection Laws means all applicable laws and regulations relating to the processing, protection, or privacy of Personal Data, including where applicable, the guidance and codes of practice issued by regulatory bodies in any relevant jurisdiction. This includes, but is not limited to, the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD).

Related to Privacy and Data Protection Laws

  • EU Data Protection Laws means EU Directive 95/46/EC, as transposed into domestic legislation of each Member State and as amended, replaced or superseded from time to time, including by the GDPR and laws implementing or supplementing the GDPR;

  • Data Protection Laws means all laws and regulations that govern the access, use, disclosure, or protection of Personal Data to which a party is subject with respect to the Service or the Software.

  • UK Data Protection Laws means the Data Protection Xxx 0000 (incorporating the UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, and the laws implementing or supplementing them;

  • EU Data Protection Law means (i) prior to 25 May 2018, Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data ("Directive") and on and after 25 May 2018, Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); and (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of Personal Data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and applicable national implementations of it (as may be amended, superseded or replaced).

  • Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.

  • Data Protection Law means the applicable legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons and their right to privacy with regard to the processing of Personal Data under the Agreement (and includes, as far as it concerns the relationship between the parties regarding the processing of Personal Data by SAP on behalf of Customer, the GDPR as a minimum standard, irrespective of whether the Personal Data is subject to GDPR or not).

  • Applicable Data Protection Laws means all national, international and local laws, regulations and rules by any government, agency or authority relating to data protection and privacy which are applicable to CPA Global or the Customer, including but not limited to The General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679), (GDPR);

  • European Data Protection Laws means data protection laws applicable in Europe, including: (i) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector; and (iii) applicable national implementations of (i) and (ii); or (iii) GDPR as it forms parts of the United Kingdom domestic law by virtue of Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"); and (iv) Swiss Federal Data Protection Act on 19 June 1992 and its Ordinance ("Swiss DPA"); in each case, as may be amended, superseded or replaced.

  • Data Protection Act means Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

  • Applicable Data Protection Law means all data privacy or data protection laws or regulations globally that apply to the Processing of Personal Information under this Data Processing Agreement, which may include Applicable European Data Protection Law.

  • Data Protection Acts means Data Protection Act 1988, as amended by the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003, and as may be modified, amended, supplemented, consolidated or re- enacted from time to time;

  • European Data Protection Law means the GDPR and any data protection law of a European Member State and Switzerland, including local legislation implementing the requirements of the GDPR, including subordinate legislation, in each case as amended from time to time;

  • Data Protection means the implementation of appropriate administrative, technical or physical means to guard against unauthorized intentional or accidental disclosure, modification, or destruction of data.

  • the applicable data protection law means the legislation protecting the fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and, in particular, their right to privacy with respect to the processing of personal data applicable to a data controller in the Member State in which the data exporter is established;

  • Privacy Act means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • Applicable Data Protection Legislation means any national or internationally binding data protection laws or regulations (including but not limited to the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (“DSG”)) including any requirements, guidelines and recommendations of the competent data protection authorities applicable at any time during the term of this DPA to, as the case may be, the Data Controller or the Data Processor;

  • the data protection principles means the principles set out in Part I of Schedule 1 to that Act, as read subject to Part II of that Schedule and to section 27(1) of that Act;

  • Data Protection Regulation means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 20161 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

  • Data Protection Legislation means the Data Protection Act 1998 and all applicable laws and regulations relating to processing of personal data and privacy, including where applicable the guidance and codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner or relevant Government department in relation to such legislation;

  • Data Protection Requirements means all applicable (i) Data Protection Laws, (ii) Privacy Policies and (iii) those terms of any Contracts imposing obligations on the Company or its Subsidiaries with respect to the Company’s collection, use, storage, disclosure, or cross-border transfer of Personal Data.

  • General Data Protection Regulation GDPR" means regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European parliament and of the council as amended from time to time.

  • UK Data Protection Legislation means all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time to time in the UK including the UK GDPR; the Data Protection Act 2018; the Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002/58/EC (as updated by Directive 2009/136/EC) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended.

  • Anti-Corruption Laws means all laws, rules, and regulations of any jurisdiction applicable to the Borrower or its Subsidiaries from time to time concerning or relating to bribery or corruption.

  • Anticorruption Laws means the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended and any other anticorruption or anti-bribery Applicable Law applicable to the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Privacy and Security Laws means any and all international, local, country-specific, or U.S. State or Federal laws, regulations, directives, standards, guidelines, policies, or procedures, as amended, applicable to Supplier pertaining to the security, confidentiality, or privacy of Buyer Data.

  • Mass Privacy Act is defined in Section 9.2 hereof.
