Probation means a period of six (6) months from the day upon which an employee is first appointed or a period of three (3) months after an employee has been transferred or promoted. If an employee does not successfully complete his probationary period on transfer or promotion, the Employer shall appoint him to a position comparable to the one from which he was transferred or promoted;
Restrictive Covenant Violation means the Participant’s breach of the Restrictive Covenants listed on Appendix A or any covenant regarding confidentiality, competitive activity, solicitation of the Company’s vendors, suppliers, customers, or employees, or any similar provision applicable to or agreed to by the Participant.
Serious violation means a violation of this act, an order issued under this act, or a rule promulgated or adopted by reference under this act for which a substantial probability exists that death or serious impairment of a body function to a person other than the violator may result unless the violator did not and could not, with the exercise of reasonable diligence, know of the presence of the violation.
Behavioral violation means a student’s behavior that violates the district’s discipline policies.
Remedy a Violation means to bring the structure or other development into compliance with state and community floodplain management regulations, or, if this is not possible, to reduce the impacts of its noncompliance. Ways that impacts may be reduced include protecting the structure or other affected development from flood damages, implementing the enforcement provisions of the ordinance or otherwise deterring future similar violations, or reducing federal financial exposure with regard to the structure or other development.
Moving violation means any violation of any statute or ordinance, other than section 4513.263 of the Revised Code or an ordinance that is substantially equivalent to that section, that regulates the operation of vehicles, streetcars, or trackless trolleys on highways or streets or that regulates size or load limitations or fitness requirements of vehicles. "Moving violation" does not include the violation of any statute or ordinance that regulates pedestrians or the parking of vehicles.
Market Violation means a tariff violation, violation of a Commission-approved order, rule or regulation, market manipulation, or inappropriate dispatch that creates substantial concerns regarding unnecessary market inefficiencies, as defined in 18 C.F.R. § 35.28(b)(8).
integrity violation means any act which violates the anticorruption policy including corrupt, fraudulent, coercive, or collusive practice, abuse, and obstructive practice;
Repeat violation means a violation of the same regulation in any location by the same person for which voluntary compliance previously has been sought within two years or a notice of civil violation has been issued

Technical violation means a noncriminal violation of the conditions of parole. This rule is intended to implement Iowa Code section 905.7.
OVI or OVUAC violation means a violation of section 4511.19 of the Revised Code or a violation of an existing or former law of this state, any other state, or the United States that is substantially equivalent to section 4511.19 of the Revised Code.
Wildlife violation means any cited violation of a statute, law, regulation, ordinance, or administrative rule developed and enacted for the management of wildlife resources and the uses thereof.
Minor violation means a violation that is not the result of the purposeful, reckless or criminally negligent conduct of the alleged violator; and/or the activity or condition constituting the violation has not been the subject of an enforcement action by any authorized local, county or state enforcement agency against the violator within the immediately preceding 12 months for the same or substantially similar violation.
Environmental Violation means, with respect to the Property, any activity, occurrence or condition that violates or results in non-compliance with any Environmental Law.
Disciplinary probation means a status in which a student may remain enrolled in the university only upon the condition that the student complies with specified standards of conduct or other requirements or restrictions on privileges, for a specified period of time, not to exceed two years.
Violation means the failure of a structure or other development to be fully compliant with the community's floodplain management regulations. A structure or other development without the elevation certificate, other certifications, or other evidence of compliance required in Articles 4 and 5 is presumed to be in violation until such time as that documentation is provided.
Violent felony means any offense that, if committed by an adult, would constitute a felony and:

Sexually violent offense means a violation of G.S. 14-27.2 (first degree

Violation Ticket means a violation ticket as defined in the Provincial Offences Procedures Act (Alberta).
Notice of Violation means a written notice prepared by an enforcement official that informs a responsible person of code violations and orders them to take certain steps to correct the violations.
Serious assault means an act that constitutes a felony violation of chapter XI of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81 to 750.90h, or that constitutes an assault and infliction of serious or aggravated injury under section 81a of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81a.
Family violence means conduct as defined by S.7 of the Family Violence Act 2004.
Sexual violence means any sexual act or act targeting a person’s sexuality, gender identity or gender expression, whether the act is physical or psychological in nature, that is committed, threatened or attempted against a person without the person’s consent, and includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism and sexual exploitation.
