PROHIBITED DECKING AREAS. Purchaser shall not deck right-of-way timber in the following areas:  Within the grubbing limits.  Within 50 feet of any stream.  In locations that interfere with the construction of the road prism.  In locations that impede drainage.  On slopes greater than 40%.  Against standing trees unless approved by the Contract Administrator.

Purchaser shall also remove stumps with undercut roots outside the grubbing limits. Grubbing must be completed before starting excavation and embankment. Organic debris is defined as all vegetative material not eligible for removal by Contract Clause G-010 PRODUCTS SOLD AND SALE AREA or G-011 RIGHT TO REMOVE FOREST PRODUCTS AND CONTRACT AREA, that is larger than one cubic foot in volume within the grubbing limits as shown on the TYPICAL SECTION SHEET.

Stumps shall be shaken free of dirt and debris. Two root wads must be placed in or adjacent to the stream channel. The remaining stumps grubbed from the Inner Zone must be placed in the waste area.
