Promotions Committee definition

Promotions Committee is all tenured faculty in a School, who are not being considered for promotion.
Promotions Committee means a committee designated by the Chief of Police consisting of three (3) Department lieutenants, one (1) Commander, the APD Personnel/Payroll Coordinator, one (1) union representative, and one (1) Human Resources Employment Testing Division representative as a non-voting observer. The committee will prepare and make recommendations for the Police Chief’s Directive.

Examples of Promotions Committee in a sentence

  • Previous experience, either as a member of a law faculty or as a lawyer engaged in other significant activity, may be taken into account so as to shorten the period of service required for promotion, upon the recommendation of the Clinic Hiring and Promotions Committee and with the approval of the Dean and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

  • More than one Professionalism and/or Honor Council issue requiring remediation will be referred to the Student Promotions Committee by the Office of Student Affairs.

  • If a student is referred to the Promotions Committee for any reason, a review of their Professionalism/Honor Council materials in the Office of Student Life will occur and be included in the information forwarded for Promotions Committee review.

  • The Governing Council, based on recommendations made by the Appointments and Promotions Committee, will adopt policies and procedures for the appointment and promotion of faculty members.

  • The Department’s recommendations will be sent to the Xxxx/Director and to the Chair of the University Promotions Committee by 1 November, with copies to the applicant.

  • At the University level, recommendations for tenure are assessed by the Xxxxxxx and Vice-President (Academic) and recommendations for promotion are assessed by the University Promotions Committee.

  • In the case of tenure, this is undertaken by the Xxxxxxx and Vice-President (Academic); and in the case of promotion it is undertaken by the University Promotions Committee (UPC).

  • At the University level consideration shall be by the University Promotions Committee.

  • Such an appeal and the grounds thereof shall be communicated in writing to the Chair of the General Promotions Committee.

  • The staff member may initiate a formal appeal regarding the recommendation; such an appeal and the grounds thereof shall be communicated in writing to the Chair of the General Promotions Committee.

Related to Promotions Committee

  • Nominations Committee means the committee referred to as such in, and established pursuant to, Article 133;

  • Sanctions Committee means the Committee of the United Nations Security Council which was established pursuant to paragraph 18 of United Nations Security Council Resolution ("UNSCR") 1737 (2006);

  • OH&S Committee is referred to hereafter, read “body nominated to implement policy on site”.

  • CSR Committee means the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board referred to in section 135 of the Act.

  • Credentials Committee means the committee established by the Medical Advisory Committee to review applications for appointment and reappointment to the Professional Staff and to make recommendations to the Medical Advisory Committee and if no such committee is established it shall mean the Medical Advisory Committee;

  • Transition Committee shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.14.

  • Personal campaign committee means the committee appointed by a candidate to act for the candidate as provided in this chapter.

  • Coordinating Committee means the committee designated and elected as provided in section 16d in connection with a township consolidation.

  • Listing Committee the listing committee of the Stock Exchange;

  • Regulatory Oversight Committee means the committee of the Board constituted in accordance with Rule 204.

  • JSC has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.

  • Supervisory Board means the Supervisory Board of the Company.

  • Apprenticeship committee means those persons designated by the sponsor to act for it in the administration of the program. A committee may be “joint,” i.e., composed of an equal number of representatives of the employer(s) and of the employees represented by a bona fide collective bargaining agent(s), and is established to conduct, operate, or administer an apprenticeship program and enter into apprenticeship agreements with apprentices. A committee may be “unilateral” or “nonjoint” and shall mean a program sponsor in which a bona fide collective bargaining agent is not a participant.

  • Finance Committee means the Finance Committee of the University;

  • Audit Committee means the audit committee of the board of directors of the Company established pursuant to the Articles, or any successor committee.

  • Development Committee has the meaning set forth in Article 3 of the Amended and Restated Research and Development Agreement.

  • OPSI Advisory Committee means the committee established under Tariff, Attachment M, section III.G.

  • Steering Committee shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.

  • Advisory Committee means the Employer's Advisory Committee as from time to time constituted.
