Protective clothing definition

Protective clothing means attire that is worn over, or in place of, regular clothing and is necessary to protect the employees' clothing from damage or stains which would be present in the normal performance of their duties. Protective clothing provided pursuant to this Contract is State-owned or leased property which will be maintained by the State. Damaged protective clothing, due to the negligence of the employee, shall be replaced by the employee at his/her expense.
