Provider Incentive definition

Provider Incentive means an additional amount of compensation paid to a health care Provider by a Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan, based on the Provider’s compliance with, or participation in, agreed- upon procedural and/or outcome measures, joint-initiatives, including but not limited to any measures or initiatives related to a particular population of Covered Persons.
Provider Incentive. An additional amount of compensation paid to a healthcare provider by a payer based on the provider's compliance with agreed-upon procedural and/or outcome measures for a particular population of covered persons. Shared Savings: A payment mechanism in which the provider and payer share cost savings achieved against a target cost budget based upon agreed upon terms and may include downside risk.
Provider Incentive means Payment incentives and Payment Disincentives that apply to base payments that are Provider Payments in a VBP arrangement.
