Qualified Mental Health Associate definition

Qualified Mental Health Associate or “QMHA” means a person delivering services under the direct supervision of a QMHP and meeting the following minimum qualifications as documented by Contractor: a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral sciences field; or a combination of at least three years’ relevant work, education, training or experience; and has the competencies necessary to communicate effectively; understand Mental Health Assessment, treatment and service terminology and to apply the concepts; and Provide psychosocial Skills Development and to implement interventions prescribed in a Treatment Plan within their scope of practice.
Qualified Mental Health Associate. (QMHA) means a person who delivers services under the direct supervision of a QMHP, and who meets both of the following criteria.
