Quid Pro Quo Harassment definition

Quid Pro Quo Harassment means unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct when submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment, or submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as the basis for an employment decision affecting the individual.
Quid Pro Quo Harassment means an employee, agent, or other person authorized by the institution to provide an aid, benefit, or service under the institution’s education program or activity explicitly or impliedly conditioning the provision of such aid, benefit, or service on an individual’s participation in unwelcome sexual conduct.

Quid Pro Quo Harassment assumes a power differential and occurs when an employee or student is subject to unwelcome sexual behavior or advances, and submission is made a condition of hiring, advancement, admission, or evaluation in the work or academic setting. Submission to such conduct or request is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment. or academic status;
