Recognized Securities Exchange as used in paragraph 1 means: (i) the NASDAQ System owned by the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. and any stock exchange registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a national securities exchange for purposes of the U.S. Securities Exchange Act of 1934; (ii) the French stock exchanges controlled by the "Commission des opération bourse," and the stock exchanges of Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Hamburg, London, Madrid, Milan, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto; (iii) any other stock exchanges agreed upon by the competent authorities of both Contracting States.
Recognized Securities Exchange means (a) a securities exchange that has registered with the SEC under Section 6 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, or (b) the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Recognized Securities Exchange means a U.S. securities exchange that is registered as a “national securities exchangeunder section 6 of the Exchange Act of 1934 15 U.S.C. 78f or a designated offshore securities market as defined in Regulation S of the Securities Act of 1933 17 CFR part 230.902(B), as such definition may be amended from time to time, which performs with respect to securities, the functions commonly performed by a stock exchange within the meaning of the definitions under the applicable securities laws (e.g., 17 CFR part 240.3b-16).

  • National Securities Exchange means an exchange registered with the Commission under Section 6(a) of the Exchange Act or any successor thereto.
