Registry Services definition

Registry Services are, for purposes of the Agreement, defined as the following: (a) those services that are operations of the registry critical to the following tasks: the receipt of data from registrars concerning registrations of domain names and name servers; provision to registrars of status information relating to the zone servers for the TLD; dissemination of TLD zone files; operation of the registry DNS servers; and dissemination of contact and other information concerning domain name server registrations in the TLD as required by this Agreement; (b) other products or services that the Registry Operator is required to provide because of the establishment of a Consensus Policy as defined in Specification 1; (c) any other products or services that only a registry operator is capable of providing, by reason of its designation as the registry operator; and (d) material changes to any Registry Service within the scope of (a), (b) or (c) above.
Registry Services means all services provided by an ARB approved Offset Project Registry in section 95987.
Registry Services means the services provided as an integral part of the operation of the Registry TLD, as defined in the Registry Agreement, and as such definition may be amended from time to time by ICANN and Registry Operator.

Examples of Registry Services in a sentence

  • Registry Operator shall conduct Registry Services Continuity testing at least once per year.

  • Registry Operator shall maintain a business continuity plan, which will provide for the maintenance of Registry Services in the event of an extraordinary event beyond the control of the Registry Operator or business failure of Registry Operator, and may include the designation of a Registry Services continuity provider.

  • In the case of an extraordinary event beyond the control of the Registry Operator where the Registry Operator cannot be contacted, Registry Operator consents that ICANN may contact the designated Registry Services continuity provider, if one exists.

  • If a Registry Operator offers additional Registry Services that require submission of additional data, not included above, additional “extension schemas” shall be defined in a case by case basis to represent that data.

  • Registry Operator may offer Additional Services only with the written approval of ICANN, and, upon any such approval, such Additional Services shall be deemed Registry Services under this Agreement.


More Definitions of Registry Services

Registry Services with respect to a particular gTLD, shall have the meaning defined in the agreement between ICANN and the Registry Operator for that gTLD.
Registry Services with respect to a particular TLD, shall have the meaning defined in the agreement between ICANN and the Registry Operator for that TLD.
Registry Services means operation of the registry for the Registry TLDs and shall include receipt of data concerning registrations and nameservers from registrars, provision of status information to registrars, operation of the registry TLD zone servers, and dissemination of TLD zone files.
Registry Services means the services to be performed by the Registry in terms of these Regulations, which services allow the generation of either DNS resource records that are published authoritatively, or responses to Domain Name availability lookup, or Whois requests for some or all of the Domain Names;
Registry Services refers to the services provided by the Registry in relation to a domain namespace.
Registry Services has the meaning set forth in the Specification 6 of the Registry Agreement.
Registry Services means the registry management, securities administration and digital registrar services provided through the Platform, including through the Globacap management console, and including services relating to registry management, stakeholder management, shareholder communications and corporate actions.
