Retirement Severance. Central Administrators who retire from education after twenty – five (25) years of service and who are at least 55 years of age, or who retire under a Pennsylvania School Employee’s Retirement System (PSER) “30 and out” provision, shall be entitled to the following benefit provisions.   • The present value of the future Retirement Severance Pay Benefits and Early Retirement Program Plan benefits will be reduced by the Social Security and Medicare taxes (FICA) that would have been payable if the Severance Benefits and Retirement Bridge had been paid directly to the employee.

  • The School Corporation shall not be paid any compensation for its services performed on behalf of the 401(a) Retirement Severance and Early Retirement Program Buyout Plan.

  • Following retirement and the satisfaction of the requirements set forth in Subsection A of this Article, a retired employee may elect to commence distributions from his 401(a) Retirement Severance and Early retirement Program Buyout Plan account.

  • The Educational Services Corporation has been selected to determine the present value of the unfunded Retirement Severance Pay Benefits and the Social Security and Medicare Bridge Benefits described in the Prior Agreement.

  • The present value of the Retirement Severance Pay benefits and the Social Security and Medicare Bridge Benefits under the Prior Agreement shall be calculated, effective as of January 31, 2006.

Related to Retirement Severance

  • Severance Compensation means the compensation set forth in (i), (ii), and (iv) above.

  • Severance Pay means any amount that is payable in cash and is identified by a Participating Company as severance pay, or any amount which is payable on account of periods beginning after the last date on which an employee (or former employee) is required to report for work for a Participating Company.

  • Change in Control Severance Benefits means the benefits payable pursuant to Section 3 of this Agreement.

  • Termination Benefits means the benefits described in Section 4.1(b).

  • Change in Control Benefits means the following benefits:

  • Severance Payments shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.1 hereof.

  • Retirement Benefits means benefits paid by reference to reaching, or the expectation of reaching, retirement or, where they are supplementary to those benefits and provided on an ancillary basis, in the form of payments on death, disability, or cessation of employment or in the form of support payments or services in case of sickness, indigence or death. In order to facilitate financial security in retirement, these benefits may take the form of payments for life, payments made for a temporary period, a lump sum, or any combination thereof;

  • Severance Benefits mean the payment of severance compensation as provided in Section 2.3 herein.

  • Change in Control Benefit means the benefit described in Section 2.4.

  • Severance Benefit means the payment of severance compensation as provided in Article III.

  • Qualifying Retirement means the Employee’s voluntary termination of employment after the Employee has (i) attained (X) age sixty-five (65), (Y) age fifty-five (55) with ten (10) Years of Service as a full-time employee of the Partnership or any of its Affiliates, or (Z) an age which, when added to such Years of Service of the Employee equals at least seventy-five (75), and (ii) previously delivered a written notice of retirement to the Partnership and on the date of retirement the Employee has satisfied the minimum applicable advance written notice requirement set forth below: Age at Voluntary Termination Number of Years of Advance Notice 58 or younger 59 60 or older 3 years 2 years 1 year By way of illustration, and without limiting the foregoing, if (i) the Employee is eligible to retire at age fifty-nine (59) after ten (10) Years of Service, (ii) the Employee gives two (2) years notice at age fifty-eight (58) that the Employee intends to retire at age sixty (60), and (iii) the Employee later terminates employment at age fifty-nine (59), then the Employee’s retirement at age fifty-nine (59) would not constitute a Qualifying Retirement. However, if (i) the Employee is eligible to retire at age fifty-nine (59) after ten (10) Years of Service, (ii) the Employee gives two (2) years notice at age fifty-eight (58) that the Employee intends to retire at age sixty (60), and (iii) the Employee terminates employment upon reaching age sixty (60), then the Employee’s retirement at age sixty (60) would constitute a Qualifying Retirement.

  • Termination Compensation means a monthly cash amount equal to one-twelfth ( 1/12th) of the highest amount of the annual cash compensation (including cash bonuses and other cash-based compensation, including for these purposes amounts earned or payable whether or not deferred) received by Executive during any one of the three (3) calendar years immediately preceding the calendar year in which Executive’s Termination Date occurs; provided, that if the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year exceeds the highest amount of the annual cash compensation received by Executive during any one of the immediately preceding three (3) consecutive calendar years, the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year shall be deemed to be Executive’s highest amount of annual cash compensation. In no event shall Executive’s Termination Compensation include equity-based compensation (e.g., income realized as a result of Executive’s exercise of non-qualified stock options or other stock based benefits).

  • Separation Benefits has the meaning accorded such term in Section 3.04.

  • Severance Payment means any amount paid by a board to or in behalf of a superintendent on early termination of the superinten- dent’s contract that exceeds the amount earned by the superinten- dent under the contract as of the date of termination, including any amount that exceeds the amount of earned standard salary and benefits that is paid as a condition of early termination of the con- tract. Payments to a former superintendent who remains employed by a district in another capacity or contracts with a district to pro- vide the district services may be severance payments in whole or in part if the payments are compensation for the early termination of a prior employment agreement. Severance payments include any payment for actual or threatened litigation involving or related to the employment contract. Education Code 11.201(c); 19 TAC 105.1021(a)(1)

  • Disability retirement for plan 1 members, means the period

  • Termination Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 7.

  • Normal Retirement means retirement from active employment with the Company or any Subsidiary on or after age 65.

  • Nonqualifying Termination means a termination of the Executive’s employment (1) by the Company for Cause, (2) by the Executive for any reason other than a Good Reason, (3) as a result of the Executive’s death or (4) by the Company due to the Executive’s absence from his duties with the Company on a full-time basis for at least 180 consecutive days as a result of the Executive’s incapacity due to physical or mental illness.

  • Normal Retirement Benefit means an annual benefit equal to One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and No/100 ($150,000.00) per year, payable in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. Beginning on the thirteenth month that the Normal Retirement Benefit is paid, and continuing thereafter until paid in full, the Normal Retirement Benefit shall be increased annually by three percent (3%) from the previous year’s Normal Retirement Benefit amount to account for cost of living increases.

  • Severance from Employment means severance from employment with the Employer and any Related Entity. However, a Severance from Employment also occurs on any date on which an Employee ceases to be an employee of a public school, even though the Employee may continue to be employed by a Related Employer that is another unit of the State or local government that is not a public school or in a capacity that is not employment with a public school (e.g., ceasing to be an employee performing services for a public school but continuing to work for the same State or local government employer).

  • Severance from Service Date means the earlier of:

  • Retirement Age means the earlier to occur of:

  • Accrued Benefits shall include the following amounts, payable as described herein: (i) all base salary for the time period ending with the Termination Date; (ii) reimbursement for any and all monies advanced in connection with the Executive's employment for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by the Executive on behalf of the Company and its Affiliates for the time period ending with the Termination Date; (iii) any and all other cash earned through the Termination Date and deferred at the election of the Executive or pursuant to any deferred compensation plan then in effect; (iv) notwithstanding any provision of any bonus or incentive compensation plan applicable to the Executive, a lump sum amount, in cash, equal to the sum of (A) any bonus or incentive compensation that has been allocated or awarded to the Executive for a fiscal year or other measuring period under the plan that ends prior to the Termination Date but has not yet been paid (pursuant to Section 5(f) or otherwise) and (B) a pro rata portion to the Termination Date of the aggregate value of all contingent bonus or incentive compensation awards to the Executive for all uncompleted periods under the plan calculated as to each such award as if the Goals with respect to such bonus or incentive compensation award had been attained; and (v) all other payments and benefits to which the Executive (or in the event of the Executive's death, the Executive's surviving spouse or other beneficiary) may be entitled as compensatory fringe benefits or under the terms of any benefit plan of the Employer, including severance payments under the Employer's severance policies and practices in the form most favorable to the Executive that were in effect at any time during the 180-day period prior to the Effective Date. Payment of Accrued Benefits shall be made promptly in accordance with the Employer's prevailing practice with respect to clauses (i) and (ii) or, with respect to clauses (iii), (iv) and (v), pursuant to the terms of the benefit plan or practice establishing such benefits.

  • Employment benefits means all benefits provided or made

  • Severance Period means the period of time commencing on the date of an occurrence of a Change of Control and continuing until the earlier of (i) the date which is one and one-half years following the occurrence of the Change of Control, and (ii) the Executive's death.

  • Separation from Service or “Separates from Service” means a “separation from service” within the meaning of Section 409A of the Code.
