Safe Sport definition

Safe Sport means RAP’s implementation of the education and response recommendations developed with, and approved by, the U.S. Center for SafeSport to protect athletes from emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct by informing and training participants, parents and guardians of participants, coaches, officials, volunteers, and staff related to youth sports programs and establishing an effective response and resolution mechanism.
Safe Sport means the Safe Sport program of the USOC as discussed in Section 6.4 of this Constitution.
Safe Sport means an athletic environment that is respectful, equitable and free from all forms of non-accidental violence to athletes;

Examples of Safe Sport in a sentence

  • Reports of any allegation of misconduct or other inappropriate behavior that may violate Safe Sport Policies other than Sexual Misconduct or Child Abuse, should be made immediately to the MAHA Michigan Safe Sport Coordinator (at xxx.xxxx.xxx, ‘Parents and Players’, ‘Safety’, ‘Safe Sport Program’).

  • The Safety Division shall be chaired the Safe Sport Chair who shall have the responsibility for ensuring the respective duties, jurisdictions, and responsibilities of each division committee and coordinator are fulfilled.

  • This is not intended to create or grant a right of action against the Center or in any way waive the Center’s, the USOPC’s, an NGB’s, or any other applicable party or entity’s immunity, if any, under the Protecting Young Victims from Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 or any other legal theory.

  • Compuware Youth Hockey prohibits all types of physical misconduct, sexual misconduct, emotional abuse, bullying, threats, harassment and hazing, all as described in the USA Hockey Safe Sport Handbook.

  • Member Programs shall promptly (and on no less than a monthly basis) provide the Affiliate Safe Sport Coordinator with notice of any alleged violations of Safe Sport policies, and shall promptly advise the Affiliate Safe Sport Coordinator of the results of any investigations, hearings or other proceedings within their program that involve allegations or violations of the USA Hockey Safe Sport Policies or the Safe Sport Program Handbook.

  • QUORUM - A quorum for any meeting of the Safe Sport Committee shall consist of a majority of its voting members.

  • Member Program is required to implement, comply, and monitor compliance with the USA Hockey Safe Sport Program Handbook and the SafeSport Code for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement as adopted by the U.S. Center for SafeSport (the “Center for SafeSport”), and the requirements set forth in the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act of 2017, each as amended and/or as may be amended while this Agreement is in effect.

Related to Safe Sport

  • Nontransient noncommunity water system means a public water system that is not a community water system and that regularly serves at least the same 25 persons over 6 months per year.

  • Safe Deposit Boxes means the safe deposit boxes of the Failed Bank, if any, including the removable safe deposit boxes and safe deposit stacks in the Failed Bank's vault(s), all rights and benefits under rental agreements with respect to such safe deposit boxes, and all keys and combinations thereto.

  • Transient non-community water system or “transient non-CWS” means a non- CWS that does not regularly serve at least 25 of the same persons over six months of the year.

  • Transient lodging means a room or a suite of rooms.

  • Youth center means any public or private facility that is primarily used to host recreational or social activities for minors, including, but not limited to, private youth membership organizations or clubs, social service teenage club facilities, video arcades, or similar amusement park facilities.

  • Stinger-steered automobile or watercraft transporter means an automobile or watercraft transporter

  • Ambulance service means an entity, its personnel and equipment including, but not limited to, automobiles, airplanes, boats or helicopters, which are licensed to provide Emergency medical and Ambulance services in the state in which the services are rendered.

  • Marijuana retailer means a person who sells marijuana items to a consumer in this state.

  • Food handler means a person who works with unpackaged food, food equipment or utensils, or food-contact surfaces for a food service establishment.

  • Local Interconnection Trunks/Trunk Groups means the trunks that are used for the termination of Local Exchange Traffic, pursuant to iconectiv Technical Reference GR 317-CORE.

  • Transportation network company driver or “driver” means an

  • Community location means a public or private elementary or secondary school, a church, a public library, a public playground, or a public park.

  • Pet Ambulance means a Pet medical transportation service vehicle equipped with stretchers, hydraulic tables, oxygen and a driver and/or veterinary technician.

  • Professional Sports means a sport, which would remunerate a player in excess of 50% of his or her annual income as a means of their livelihood.

  • Automobile service station means a building or structure or part thereof open to the public where motor vehicles are washed, serviced, repaired, fueled, leased, sold or displayed and may include, but are not limited to a gas bar, car wash, body shop or general or specialty repair shops;

  • Remote location means a location from which a member of a legislative body participates in a meeting pursuant to subdivision (f), other than any physical meeting location designated in the notice of the meeting. Remote locations need not be accessible to the public.

  • Transient merchant means any person who engages in a temporary or itinerant merchandising business and in the course of such business hires, leases or occupies any building or structure whatsoever, or who operates out of a vehicle which is parked anywhere within the City limits. Temporary association with a local merchant, dealer, trader or auctioneer, or conduct of such transient business in connection with, as a part of, or in the name of any local merchant, dealer, trader or auctioneer does not exempt any person from being considered a transient merchant.

  • co-pilot means a pilot operating other than as pilot-in-command, on an aircraft for which more than one pilot is required, but excluding a pilot who is on board the aircraft for the sole purpose of receiving flight instruction for a licence or rating.
