Sanctioned Jurisdictions definition

Sanctioned Jurisdictions means, at any time, a country, region or territory which is itself the subject or target of any comprehensive sanctions (at the time of this Agreement, Iran, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, North Korea, and the Crimea region of Ukraine) broadly restricting or prohibiting dealings in or involving such country or territory.
Sanctioned Jurisdictions has the meaning given in clause in paragraph 24.1 of Schedule 2;

Examples of Sanctioned Jurisdictions in a sentence

  • Honeywell will not source any components, technology, software, or data: (i) from any Sanctioned Persons or Sanctioned Jurisdictions or (ii) in contravention of any Sanctions Laws.

  • Buyer will not sell, export, re-export, divert, use, or otherwise transfer any Honeywell products, technology, software, or proprietary information: (i) to or for any Sanctioned Persons or to or involving Sanctioned Jurisdictions; or (ii) for purposes prohibited by any Sanctions Laws.

  • Sanctioned Jurisdiction means, at any time, a country, territory or geographical region that is subject to, the target of, or purported to be subject to, Sanctions Laws.

  • OFAC Sanctions means any sanctions program administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”) under authority delegated to the Secretary of the Treasury (the “Secretary”) by the President of the United States or provided to the Secretary by statute, and any order or license issued by, or under authority delegated by, the President or provided to the Secretary by statute in connection with a sanctions program thus administered by OFAC. For ease of reference, and not by way of limitation, OFAC Sanctions programs are described on OFAC’s website at xxx.xxxxx.xxx/xxxx.

  • OFAC Laws means any laws, regulations, and executive orders relating to the economic sanctions programs administered by OFAC, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, 50 U.S.C. sections 1701 et seq.; the Trading with the Enemy Act, 50 App. U.S.C. sections 1 et seq.; and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, Department of the Treasury Regulations, 31 C.F.R. Parts 500 et seq. (implementing the economic sanctions programs administered by OFAC).

  • Foreign terrorist organization means an organization designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States secretary of state as authorized by 8 U.S.C. Section 1189.

  • OFAC SDN List means the list of the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons maintained by OFAC.

  • Sanctions means economic or financial sanctions or trade embargoes imposed, administered or enforced from time to time by (a) the U.S. government, including those administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury or the U.S. Department of State, or (b) the United Nations Security Council, the European Union or Her Majesty’s Treasury of the United Kingdom.

  • primary insolvency jurisdiction means the Contracting State in which the centre of the debtor’s main interests is situated, which for this purpose shall be deemed to be the place of the debtor’s statutory seat or, if there is none, the place where the debtor is incorporated or formed, unless proved otherwise;
