The risk of the Scheduled Goods shall not be passed to the Purchaser until the Scheduled Goods have be en accepted by the Purchaser pursuant to Clause 5 ereof.
Scheduled Goods/ Services shall be of the qualities and sorts described and in all respects in ac cordance with any specif cations or drawings mentioned in the Schedule her eto or to any specifications, drawings or samples supplied by the Vendor and approved in writing by the Purchaser before acceptance of this Purchase Ord er.

The Vendor shall on receipt of an Order signed by the Director of Finance or by any person duly authorized by him, supply and deliver in accordance with the delivery conditions specified in the Schedule, the quantities of the Scheduled Goods/ Services therein specified within the time (not being manifestly unreasonable) specified in such Order or if no such time is specified, then within 14 days of the lodging of such order and in this connection, time shall be deemed to be the essence of the Contract.
Each delivery shall be accompanied by a copy of the Order and the Vendor shall ensure that a receipt is obtained thereof from the authorized officer of the University but such receipts shall not constitute an acknowledgement that the Scheduled Goods/ Services therein mentioned are acceptable or satisfactory.
If it is implicitly being asserted that such delivery is the only fair way of proceeding, we understand what is being said.
The Scheduled Goods/ Services delivered to the University will be subject to inspection and shall not be regarded as being accepted by the University unless and until either:The Director of Finance has furnished the Vendor with an Acceptance Note; orThe University does not within 28 days after delivery issue a notice in writing to the Vendor (“the Notice of Rejection”) that it will reject the Scheduled Goods/ Services.
