Seat of the Court definition

Seat of the Court means the principal premises occupied by the Court for its official use; and
Seat of the Court means the premises provided by the Government in accordance with paragraph 4 of Article III of the Agreement and occupied by the Court for its official use.
Seat of the Court means the seat of the High Court or Supreme Court at Windhoek or, in the case of a judge of the High Court assigned for duties to a division of the High Court situated at another place in Namibia, the court at such place;

  • However, in the case of fire or other emergency requiring prompt protective action, or in the event that officials of the Government have reasonable cause to believe that such an emergency has occurred, the consent of the Court Executive Administrator or the Registrar to entry in the Seat of the Court and offices of the Commission by the officials of the Government shall be presumed if neither the Court Executive Administrator nor the Registrar can be reached in time.

  • The Seat of the Court and offices of the Commission shall be the premises defined in Article I of this Agreement.

  • Court of competent jurisdiction means a federal court, or a state court that entered an order in a child custody proceeding involving an Indian child, as long as the state court had proper subject matter jurisdiction in accordance with this chapter and the laws of that state, or a tribal court that had or has exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction pursuant to 25 U.S.C. Sec. 1911.

  • Quebec Court means the Superior Court of Quebec.

  • Federal Court means the Federal Court of Australia.

  • Competent Court of Law means any court or tribunal or any similar judicial or quasi- judicial body in India that has jurisdiction to adjudicate upon issues relating to this Agreement;

  • Tribal Court means a court with jurisdiction over child custody proceedings and that is either a Court of Indian Offenses, a court established and operated under the code of custom of an Indian tribe or any other administrative body of a tribe that is vested with authority over child custody proceedings.

  • Trial court means the court or agency from which an appeal or judicial review is taken.

  • sitting means, in relation to a House, a period during which that House is sitting continuously without adjournment, and includes any period during which the House is in committee;

  • Selected Courts has the meaning set forth in Section 4.07.

  • Courts means the Ontario Court, the Quebec Court and the BC Court.

  • Ontario Court means the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

  • Superior Court means the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

  • District Court means the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
