Senior Base Pilot definition

Senior Base Pilot means a Pilot appointed by the RFDS whose duties include, in addition to the duties of a Pilot, the following duties : • Supervision of Pilots; • Ensuring each pilot is appropriately qualified with a current medical certificate; • Compiling rosters and ensuring duty and flight time limitations are adhered to; • Ensure RFDS and aircraft manuals are amended and current; • Coordinate RFDS aircraft maintenance through the Maintenance Controller and Base Engineer; • Cabin safety currency of Flight Paramedics and flight nurses; • Liaise with medical staff for clinic and on call rostering; • When appropriately qualified, assist with training and/or checking of pilots at any RFDS base.
Senior Base Pilot means a Pilot, who is designated by the Employer, in writing, to act as a supervisor at base level in accordance with the approved Employer duty statement for Senior Base Pilot.
Senior Base Pilot means a Pilot designated by the Company in writing to act as an administrator at base level in accordance with the duty statement for the position.
