Soil textural class definition

Soil textural class means one of the classes of soil texture defined within the USDA system of classification. (Soil Survey Manual, Agricultural Handbook No. 18, USDA Soil Conservation Service 1962.)
Soil textural class means the United States department of agriculture (USDA) classification system and refers to the coarseness or fineness of the soil relative to the proportion of sand, silt, and clay.
