Specialty Food Store definition

Specialty Food Store means a place of commerce other than a grocery store and the primary purpose of which is the sale of only one or a few kinds of food items, including but not limited to cheeses, fruits and nuts, are offered for sale to the general public.
Specialty Food Store means a use, building, or part of a building that specializes in a specific type or class of food production, processing or packaging such as a butcher shop, delicatessen, bakery, fish monger, and similar foods, and where live animals are not involved in the processing of the food. The food products associated with the use may be sold on the premises.
Specialty Food Store means a store providing, among other items typically found in grocery stores, artisanal, gourmet, natural, and local products (e.g., a store like a Whole Foods Market store).

Specialty Food Store means a personal and household retail sales and service use in which food such as salads, deli meats, desserts, baked goods, whole pizzas, and other ready-to-eat foods are prepared and sold, gener- ally for consumption on other premises. Specialty pack- aged foods, and/or bulk items such as cheese, may also be sold, and the square footage of any area used for seating for the immediate consumption of food shall be no more than three hundred (300) square feet. If more than three hundred (300) square feet are devoted to seating space, the entire use shall be considered an eating and drinking establishment rather than a specialty food store.
