Stream buffer means a strip of land located immediately adjacent to a stream channel consisting of natural, undisturbed vegetative cover, which serves as a transition area between uplands and riparian lands. Stream buffer means all lands lying within 50 feet, measured from the top of each normal bank of a perennial or intermittent stream.

Examples of Stream buffer in a sentence

  • Stream buffer widths shall be measured horizontally on a line perpendicular to the surface water, landward from the top of the bank on each side of the stream.

  • Stream buffer widths may be modified by averaging buffer widths as set forth herein.

  • Stream buffer allocation is one of the most important parts of a stream buffer architecture.

  • Stream buffer boundaries including the delineation of each buffer zone as well as all buffer requirements must be specified on all surveys and record plats, on individual deeds and in property association documents for lands held in common.

  • Stream buffer widths shall be established according to the following table which is based on stream classification: Table 10.
