Sub-Processing definition

Sub-Processing refers to all activities done by such Sub-processor under this DPA, both as further described in sec. 4 (Sub-Processing).
Sub-Processing in the meaning of this Agreement, means cloud services provided by various third-party processors, for software execution, data storage, data retention and processing. Sub-processing does not include ancillary services, such as telecommunication services, postal / transport services, maintenance and user support services or the disposal of data carriers, as well as other measures to ensure the confidentiality, availability, integrity and resilience of the hardware and software of that Processing equipment. The Processor shall, however, be obliged to make appropriate and legally binding contractual arrangements and take appropriate inspection measures to ensure the data protection and the data security of the Controller’s data in the case of any outsourced ancillary services, including, if outsourced to Sub- Processors. Sub-Processing means all data processing operations by a data processor acting on behalf or under the instruction of the controller;3

Examples of Sub-Processing in a sentence

Sub-Processing means an agreement between the Data Processor and Agreementa Sub-Processor governing the Personal Data processing carried out by the Sub-Processor, as described in Clause 10.

  • Processing Services means those services described herein or commonly performed under the management and direction of Bank by a Card Processor or Credit Processor which are necessary to manage a Program and process transactions in accordance with Applicable Law. Such services shall include but shall not be limited to: set-up and maintenance of a Program and Cards, transaction authorization, processing, clearing and Settlement, System access, Card Services, Credit Services, Cardholder dispute resolution, collections, System compliance, regulatory compliance, security and fraud control, and activity reporting.

  • Processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction;

  • reprocessing means the process carried out on a used device in order to allow its safe reuse including cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation and related procedures, as well as testing and restoration of the technical and functional safety of the used device;

  • Food processing plant means a commercial operation that manufactures, packages, labels or stores food for human consumption and does not provide food directly to a consumer. “Food processing plant” does not include any of the following:

  • Marijuana processor means a person who processes marijuana items in this state.

  • Processing Date means the day on which the first step of physical Processing is scheduled to occur, as identified in an Acknowledgement.

  • Connection Point means an exit point or an entry point or a bidirectional point identified or to be identified as such in an access contract.

  • Surplus Interconnection Customer means either an Interconnection Customer whose Generating Facility is already interconnected to the PJM Transmission System or one of its affiliates, or an unaffiliated entity that submits a Surplus Interconnection Request to utilize Surplus Interconnection Service within the Transmission System in the PJM Region. A Surplus Interconnection Customer is not a New Service Customer.
