Summer remediation definition

Summer remediation means the instruction developed and offered by a participating school or provider with whom it contracts during the summer for any student who failed to score at least at the proficient level on a third-grade reading achievement test or a diagnostic assessment pursuant to section 3301.0711, 3301.0715, 3313.608, or 3313.6012 of the Revised Code;
Summer remediation means the instruction developed and offered by school districts the participating school for students who failed to meet the proficient standard on the fourth- and sixth-grade proficiency tests or the third-grade reading achievement test enrolled in the fourth and sixth grade pursuant to section 3313.608 of the Revised Code.

In that provision of the Social Security Act, clause (i) refers to placing the health of the individual (or, with respect to a pregnant woman, the health of the woman or her unborn child) in serious jeopardy; clause (ii) refers to serious impairment to bodily functions; and clause (iii) refers to serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part.

  • Remedial Action means all actions to (i) clean up, remove, treat, or in any other way address any Hazardous Material, (ii) prevent the Release of any Hazardous Material so it does not endanger or threaten to endanger public health or welfare or the indoor or outdoor environment, (iii) perform pre-remedial studies and investigations or post-remedial monitoring and care, or (iv) correct a condition of noncompliance with Environmental Laws.
