Target Validation Activities definition

Target Validation Activities means the specific activities to be performed by each Party to determine the Target Validation of a Candidate Target pursuant to a Research Plan.
Target Validation Activities means the use of Aptamers identified by MERCK through the practice of the SELEX License to bind to a Target in [***] assays in order to activate, inhibit or otherwise modulate the biological activity of such Target and thereby demonstrate that such activation, inhibition or modulation may be useful for the development of Aptamers for use in the Field.
Target Validation Activities means the activities set forth in the Target Validation Work Plan to be conducted by DICERNA with respect to the Additional Complement Pathway Targets.

Examples of Target Validation Activities in a sentence

  • Within a reasonable time prior to the initiation of Target Validation Activities for the next and subsequent Candidate Targets, but at least [***] days prior to the initiation of Research activities therefor, the Parties will jointly develop, through the JRC, a Research Plan for each such Candidate Target for approval by the JSC.

  • The first Candidate Target for which Pliant will engage in Target Validation Activities is [***] (the "Initial Candidate Target").

  • The Collateral Agent may also rely upon any statement made to it orally or by telephone and believed by it to be made by the proper Person and shall not incur any liability for relying thereon.

  • ARCHEMIX shall use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that Counsel provides MERCK with a written response (each, a “Target Validation Response”) within [***] days of Counsel’s receipt of a Target Validation Notice identifying the Targets identified in such Target Validation Notice for which MERCK is permitted to perform Target Validation Activities under this Agreement.

  • The Parties will, jointly through the JRC, determine the subsequent order of Candidate Targets for which Pliant will initiate Target Validation Activities pursuant to a Research Plan; provided that, in the event of disagreement between the Parties, the order of Candidate Targets for which Target Validation Activities are initiated will be [***].

  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, prior to performing any Target Validation Activities with respect to a Target MERCK shall (a) provide ARCHEMIX’s outside counsel (“Counsel”) with a written notice (each, a “Target Validation Notice”) identifying the Target(s) that would be the subject of such Target Validation Activities and, simultaneously therewith, (b) provide ARCHEMIX with written notice that it has provided a Target Validation Notice to Counsel.

  • Subject to the other terms of this Agreement, ARCHEMIX hereby grants to MERCK and its Affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license during the SELEX License Term, without the right to grant sublicenses, under the Licensed Technology and Licensed Patent Rights, for the purpose of using the SELEX Process and the SELEX Technology solely to conduct Target Validation Activities in accordance with Section 3.15 (the “SELEX License”).

  • The request should be reported to the Company's Management Board no later than twenty one days prior to the pre-determined date of the General Meeting i.e. no later than on 1 June 2012.

  • Each Party shall, and shall ensure that its Affiliates and Sublicensees, obtain written agreements from any and all persons involved in or performing any Target Validation Activities, any Research Activities or any Development Activities assigning such persons’ right, title and interest in and to any New Inventions, Licensed IP, Results, GalXC Foreground IP or Product IP to such Party prior to any such person performing such activities.

  • Typically, a student attends lectures, seminars and/or labs but does not complete graded assignments.

Related to Target Validation Activities

  • Development Activities means those Development activities undertaken by or on behalf of a Party or its Affiliates with respect to the Product in the Field.

  • Extracurricular activities means: a voluntary activity sponsored by the school or local education agency or an organization sanctioned by the local education agency. Extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to, preparation for and involvement in public performances, contests, athletic competitions, demonstrations, displays, and club activities.

  • Commercialization or “Commercialize” means any and all activities undertaken at any time for a particular Licensed Product and that relate to the manufacturing, marketing, promoting, distributing, importing or exporting for sale, offering for sale, and selling of the Licensed Product, and interacting with Regulatory Authorities regarding the foregoing.

  • Targets means pre-agreed values to be achieved at the end of the period in relation to the result indicators included under a specific objective;

  • Clinical Studies means human clinical trials for a Licensed Product and any other tests and studies for a Licensed Product in human subjects.

  • Power production activities means any business operation that involves a project commissioned by the government of Iran whose purpose is to facilitate power generation and delivery, including, but not limited to, establishing power-generating plants or hydroelectric dams, selling or installing components for the project, providing service contracts related to the installation or maintenance of the project, as well as facilitating such activities, including by providing supplies or services in support of such activities.

  • Research Plan shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Construction Activities means the disturbance of soils associated with clearing, grading, excavation activities or other construction-related activities.

  • Indicators of student progress and growth means the results of assessment(s) of students as defined in N.J.A.C. 6A:8, Standards and Assessment.

  • Development Program means the implementation of the development plan.

  • Development Work means all work and services necessary or desirable in connection

  • Development Plans means a coherent set of operations defined and financed exclusively by the OCTs in the framework of their own policies and strategies of development, and those agreed upon between an OCT and the Member State to which it is linked;

  • Development Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 3.2.

  • Collaboration Target means the Initial Collaboration Targets set forth on Exhibit F and any Additional Target or Substitute Target that is selected in accordance with Section 3.3 of this Agreement.

  • Research Program has the meaning set forth in Section 3.1.

  • Clinical Trials means a controlled study in humans of the safety or efficacy of a Product, and includes, without limitation, such clinical trials as are designed to support expanded labeling or to satisfy the requirements of an Agency in connection with any Product Approval and any other human study used in research and Development of a Product.

  • Development Candidate means a Compound that meets the Development Candidate Criteria for the initiation of a Development Program for the treatment of CF, and which is the subject of a notice from Vertex to CFFT that Vertex intends to commence formal pre-clinical development of the Compound in the Field pursuant to the provisions of Section 3.1 hereof.

  • Timelines means the dates set out in Appendix 2 hereto as may be amended by agreement between the Parties and Timeline shall mean any one of such dates.

  • Medical Affairs Activities means, with respect to any country or other jurisdiction in the Territory, the coordination of medical information requests and field based medical scientific liaisons with respect to Licensed Compounds or Licensed Products, including activities of medical scientific liaisons and the provision of medical information services with respect to a Licensed Compound or Licensed Product.

  • Collaborative drug therapy management means participation by an authorized pharmacist and a physician in the management of drug therapy pursuant to a written community practice protocol or a written hospital practice protocol.

  • Phase III Clinical Trials means a Clinical Trial for the Product on sufficient numbers of patients to generate safety and efficacy data to support Regulatory Approval in the proposed therapeutic indication, conducted in accordance with current good clinical practices and in accordance with a protocol that has been reviewed by the FDA and reflects any comments or concerns raised by the same.

  • Commercialization Plan has the meaning set forth in Section 6.2.

  • Phase I Clinical Study means a human clinical study of a product, the principal purpose of which is a preliminary determination of safety in healthy individuals or patients, as described in 21 C.F.R. 312.21(a).

  • Development Activity means any activity defined as Development which will necessitate a Floodplain Development Permit. This includes buildings, structures, and non-structural items, including (but not limited to) fill, bulkheads, piers, pools, docks, landings, ramps, and erosion control/stabilization measures.

  • Research Project means a discrete scientific endeavor to answer a research question or a set of research questions related to medical marijuana and is required for a medical marijuana research license.

  • Collaboration Compound means any of the following: (a) FG-4592, (b) any HIF Compound (other than FG-4592) that is added to this Agreement pursuant to Section 3.6, and (c) any salts, esters, complexes, chelates, crystalline and amorphous morphic forms, pegylated forms, enantiomers (excluding regioisomers), prodrugs, solvates, metabolites and catabolites of any of the foregoing ((a) or (b)).
