Temporary Investment definition

Temporary Investment means any of the following: (i) cash; (ii) U.S. government and agency obligations maturing within three years; (iii) commercial paper rated not lower than A-1 by Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services or its successors or P-1 by ▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Investor Services, Inc. or its successors with maturities of not more than six months; (iv) interest-bearing deposits in internationally recognized banks having one of the ratings referred to in clause (iii), maturing within one year; (v) municipal bonds and other tax-exempt securities rated not lower than AA by Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services or its successors or Aa by ▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Investor Services, Inc. or its successors with maturities of not more than one year; and (vi) money market mutual funds that invest principally in investments described in one or more of the foregoing clauses (i), (ii), (iv) or (v).
Temporary Investment. Any repurchase agreements of primary Federal Reserve dealers using treasury securities only; bankers acceptances which are legal for purchase by the Federal Reserve Bank; United States Treasury bills and agency discount notes; commercial paper that is rated by M▇▇▇▇’▇ or S&P in its highest rating category; accounts or mutual funds which invest in any of the foregoing; and any other investment approved by the Advisory Committee as a Temporary Investment.

  • Except as otherwise specifically provided herein or in the Trust Agreement, the Paying Agent shall not have the power to sell, transfer or otherwise dispose of any Temporary Investment prior to the maturity thereof, or to acquire additional Temporary Investments.

More Definitions of Temporary Investment

Temporary Investment means investments in (i) cash or cash equivalents, (ii) marketable direct obligations issued or unconditionally guaranteed by the United States, or issued by any agency thereof, maturing within one year from the date of acquisition thereof, (iii) money market instruments, commercial paper or other short-term debt obligations having at the date of purchase by the Partnership the highest or second highest rating obtainable from either Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services or ▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Investors Services, Inc., or their respective successors, (iv) interest bearing accounts at a registered broker-dealer, (v) money market mutual funds, (vi) certificates of deposit maturing within one year from the date of acquisition thereof issued by commercial banks incorporated under the laws of the United States or any state thereof or the District of Columbia, or organized under the laws of a non-U.S. country, which banks have branches in the United States, each having at the date of acquisition by the Partnership combined capital and surplus of not less than $250 million, (vii) overnight repurchase agreements with primary Federal Reserve Bank dealers collateralized by direct U.S. Government obligations or (viii) pooled investment funds or accounts that invest only in Securities or instruments of the type described in (i) through (iv). For the avoidance of doubt, subject to the requirements of the 1940 Act, Temporary Investments may be held at, managed by, or purchased from, any Person that satisfies the foregoing requirements.
Temporary Investment means monies held by the Company invested in (i) cash, (ii) U.S. Treasury securities, (iii) short-term investment grade debt securities, (iii) money market funds, (iv) time deposits, (iv) securities issued or guaranteed by any agency or instrumentality of the United States, and (iv) any other comparable investments approved by the Company (including investments that do not earn any interest).

For the avoidance of doubt, subject to the requirements of the 1940 Act, Temporary Investments may be held at, managed by, or purchased from, any Person that satisfies the foregoing requirements.
Temporary Investment means bonds, debentures, treasury bills or other evidence of indebtedness of, or guaranteed by, any Canadian federal, provincial or municipal government or Canadian dollar deposits with Schedule 1 Canadian chartered banks or Schedule III Canadian chartered banks.51

Temporary Investment means, with respect to any Investment (whether in the form of debt or equity), at the General Partner’s election, the portion of such Investment that is repaid to or otherwise recouped by the Partnership in respect of such Investment within 18 months after the date of such Investment, other than upon a disposition of investments pursuant to Section 6.14 or 6.15.
