THE UAEH definition

THE UAEH hereby states that: I.1. It is a public educational institution duly organized and validly existing according to its Organic Law published on December 31, 2015 in the Local Official Journal, whose purposes are: Teaching: to organize, to impart and to encourage face-to-face and distance learning in all high school, technical, graduate and undergraduate levels, to train high quality human resources that meet the needs of the global society, especially of Mexico and the State of Xxxxxxx, allowing its graduates to form part of the productive sector; Research: to organize, to carry out, to promote and to guide scientific, humanistic and technological research in its basic and applied forms leading to human knowledge and fulfil the needs of a comprehensive development of society; Creation, preservation and promotion of culture: to organize, to conduct and to encourage culture and artistic creation and promotion in its different ways of expression with the objective of extending its benefits to all the population sectors, encouraging national and local identity, social solidarity and multicultural heritage preservation of Hidalgo and the general society; Linkage: to relate harmoniously and efficiently with other institutions and organisms so their activities generate a better social and cultural welfare, as well as to increase national productivity; Promotion of legality, transparency and protection of human rights: to carry out activities in accordance with national laws, contributing to a culture of legality and a transparent rendering of accounts. Also to promote the study and protection of the basic rights and duties of humans, especially in the university field, promoting a harmonious interaction with the university community; and Promotion of quality and excellence: to plan, operate and negotiate academic and administrative activities with the highest quality, capable of being evaluated and compared with the global excellence indicators, ensuring an optimal development of the institution so it can maintain its position among the best universities of the world. I.2. In accordance with the Minute 333 dated March 31, 2017, the Board of Regents of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado xx Xxxxxxx elected Xx.
