Tribal Cultural Resources definition

Tribal Cultural Resources means sites, features, places, cultural landscapes, sacred places, and objects with cultural value to a California Native American tribe, including unique archaeological resources and historical resources as described under sections 21074, 21083.2(g), and 21084.1 of the Public Resources Code, respectively. Tribal Cultural Resource shall also include sites or resources identified by the tribe through an action of the Tribal Council or equivalent body.

Tribal Cultural Resources means the ancient and spiritual, present and future cultural materials, objects, or sites that are significant to and perpetuate the living culture and history of federally recognized tribes as identified by the tribe. Tribal Cultural Resources and “TCRs” means a category of resources in the California Environmental Quality Act that considers the tribal cultural values in addition to the scientific and archaeological values when determining impacts and mitigation. It is defined as sites, features, places, cultural landscapes, sacred places, and objects with cultural value to a California Native American tribe that are either included or determined to be eligible for inclusion in the California Register of Historical Resources or included in a local register of historical resources, or a resource determined by the lead agency, in its discretion and supported by substantial evidence, to be significant. A cultural landscape that meets these criteria is a Tribal Cultural Resource to the extent that the landscape is geographically defined in terms of the size and scope of the landscape.

Tribal Cultural Resources. A qualified archaeologist shall monitor all ground disturbing activating within native sediments.   • Natural resources means land, fish, wildlife, biota, air, water, ground water, drinking water supplies, and other such resources belonging to, managed by, held in trust by, appertaining to, or otherwise controlled by the United States or the State.
