Tuition aid or “Tuition assistance” means any award of monetary value, including, but not limited, to scholarships, grants, discounts, or incentives offered by a career school or by a third party, that is received by a student who will enroll in, or is enrolled in, a specific program of instruction, and is:

Tuition aid is defined as a full or partial payment or reimbursement of registration fees and the minimum requirement of tests for specialized individual academic training which is related to the employee's current job or which prepares an employee for a promotional opportunity within City service.   • Tuition pupil means a pupil of school age attending school in a district other than the pupil's district of residence for whom tuition may be charged to the district of residence. Tuition pupil does not include a pupil who is a special education pupil, a pupil described in subsection (6)(c) to (o), or a pupil whose parent or guardian voluntarily enrolls the pupil in a district that is not the pupil's district of residence. A pupil's district of residence shall not require a high school tuition pupil, as provided under section 111, to attend another school district after the pupil has been assigned to a school district.

  • Tuition means the total amount of money charged for the cost of a qualifying student to attend an independent school including, but not limited to, fees for attending the school and school-related transportation.
