TUITION AID. The Employer agrees to maintain its assistance for employees attending institutions of higher learning in accordance with the policies and procedures established for the Middlesex County Tuition Aid Program, subject to the availability of existing funds. Employees will be reimbursed up to eighty percent (80%) of tuition and fees. Maximum reimbursement may not exceed six hundred dollars ($600.00) per employee during any one twelve (12) month period beginning September 1st and ending August 31st.
TUITION AID. Tuition aid as outlined below is available from a minimum of $10,000 in any contract year for all regular bargaining unit employees who attend TTC work related self-improvement courses and have completed 12 months of continuous service. It is authorized only when there is a recognized mutual benefit to both the employee and the Commission. A maximum reimbursement of $2,000 per calendar year cannot be exceeded by any one bargaining unit employee.
TUITION AID. A. Association Members
1. A member shall be reimbursed for tuition and registration fees, so long as member is still an active employee at the time of disbursement, up to a maximum of one thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,250.00) per year per Association member according to the formula set forth hereinbelow: GRADE REPORT (or equivalent) PERCENTAGE OF INDIVIDUAL MAXIMUM “A” “B” = = one hundred percent (100%) seventy-five percent (75%)
TUITION AID. 1. Teachers shall be reimbursed for tuition, registration fees, and books up to a maximum of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) per teacher per school year according to the formula set forth herein below: GRADE REPORT PERCENTAGE OF INDIVIDUAL MAXIMUM (or EQUIVALENT)
TUITION AID. A. The Judiciary shall fund a Tuition Aid/Educational Enhancement Fund in an amount of not less than $25,000 per fiscal year during the term of the contract (to be shared by both JCAU bargaining units). Unused funds shall not rollover to the next fiscal year. The approval process to participate in this program will be at management’s discretion and approval will not be unreasonably denied.
B. For the term of the contract, the amount of reimbursement per person may be up to but shall not exceed $600 per course and will be capped at $1,200 per fiscal year. Funds not reimbursed by May 15 of each fiscal year will lapse and any reimbursement for previously approved applications will be paid from the next fiscal year’s tuition aid fund.
TUITION AID. 21.1 - Employees covered under this Agreement shall be eligible for tuition aid as described in Attachment A to this contract.
TUITION AID. The School Committee will reimburse teachers in the amount stipulated in Appendix B per year for the cost of courses, training, workshops, or seminars as follows:
A. Graduate level courses taken at duly recognized and accredited institutions and completed with a grade of pass for a pass/fail course or a grade of B or better for a graded course. Seminars, workshops and/or training which will enhance and/or improve the teacher’s skills, which are sponsored by an accredited organization and for which continuing education/in-service units are offered.
TUITION AID. SECTION 1. All teachers who have completed one year of employment shall be eligible for tuition aid subject to the conditions and procedures set forth in this Article.
1.1 Applications for aid must be filed on or before the deadlines set forth in Section 3 and The applicant must be enrolled and accepted in a graduate program relating to the profession of education (in a college) which has been approved by the Superintendent or; If the applicant is not enrolled in a graduate program leading to a degree, each course must be approved by the Superintendent in advance.
1.2 To receive tuition aid for courses approved as aforesaid, a teacher must successfully complete the course for credit. In graded courses he or she must pass with a grade of B- (or its numerical equivalent) or better.
1.3 Must provide the Superintendent with proof of acceptance and participation in an approved course of study, certified information indicating date of completion, grade received and credits allowed, and proof of payment for the course taken.
SECTION 2. Tuition aid will be in an amount equal to 80% of the cost of courses approved as aforesaid, less financial aid available from any other sources, provided, however, that such aid shall be limited to a maximum of $750.00 per course and a fiscal year maximum of
SECTION 3. Tuition aid shall not exceed $50,000 in the aggregate for the School Year. Applications for tuition aid for first semester courses must be received no later than August 15, for second semester courses by December 15, and for summer courses by May 15.
SECTION 4. Tuition shall be allocated as follows: First semester courses $14,000, second semester courses $14,000 plus any unused portion from previous semester, summer courses
SECTION 5. Applications for reimbursement received as of each application deadline specified in Section 3 shall be approved based on the following: Priorities
SECTION 6. A classroom teacher who receives certification, or obtains renewal of certification, from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) shall be reimbursed in an amount equal to 50% of the application fee less financial aid from any other sources.
SECTION 7. No teacher who has received notice of suspension or nonrenewal shall be eligible for tuition aid except for courses for which application was made and approved prior to such notice.
TUITION AID. 1. XXXX agrees to continue in effect a tuition aid plan for the purpose of giving financial assistance to eligible INDG employees who wish to pursue types of study that will enable them to do their jobs better or assist them in preparation for advancement at INDG. INDG has the right to administer the plan and modify the plan in its discretion; as long as plan changes apply on a company-wide basis, such changes are not subject to arbitration or bargaining.
2. Permanent full-time employees with six (6) months’ service and permanent part-time employees with the equivalent of six (6) months’ full time service are eligible for approved courses of study.
3. Compensation for as many as three (3) semesters or four (4) quarters a year is permitted under the plan. One half of the amount allowed is to be paid at the time of registration, the remainder upon successful completion of the course. INDG will pay for the full cost of tuition, related fees (including lab fees), and required books up to a maximum of $2,400 per semester or quarter, up to a maximum of $7,200 per year ($3,000 per semester or quarter, up to a maximum of $9,000 per year, beginning with the first new academic term after contract signing), for the duration of the contract, provided that the employee successfully completes the course and returns to work for INDG after completion of the course. Approved courses of study are those that are successfully completed at a college, university, or community college, that are related to work of INDG and taken during non-working hours.
4. Applications should be submitted to the Human Resources in writing. Supervisors and department heads shall be consulted with regard to eligibility of employees and subjects. Normally, the supervisor or department head should be consulted by those employees intending to pursue studies.
