Vegetable Waste definition

Vegetable Waste is excluded from this contract and means putrescible solid waste resulting from the processing of plants for food by a commercial establishment such as canneries. This definition does not include waste products resulting from the preparation and consumption of food in places such as cafeterias and restaurants.

Related to Vegetable Waste

  • combustible waste ’ means non-biodegradable, non- recyclable, non-reusable, non-hazardous solid waste having minimum calorific value exceeding 1500 kcal/kg and excluding chlorinated materials like plastic, wood pulp, etc.;

  • Putrescible waste means solid waste that contains organic matter capable of being decomposed by microorganisms and of such a character and proportion as to be capable of attracting or providing food for birds. The term does not include uncontaminated yard trash or clean wood.
