Video KYC definition

Video KYC means Video based Customer Identification Process i.e. a method of Card member identification by an official of Citibank by undertaking seamless, secure, real-time, consent based audio-visual interaction with the Card member to obtain identification information including the documents required for Due Diligence purpose, and to ascertain the veracity of the information furnished by the Card member, in accordance to RBI circular DOR.AML.BC.No.27/14.01.001/2019-20 dated January 9, 2020.
Video KYC or „V-CIP‟ means live video-based Customer Identification Process to be carried out by an official of the Bank for establishment of an account-based relationship with an individual customer, after obtaining his informed consent in terms of RBI and Bank‟s KYC policy.
Video KYC means the process of performing Know Your Customer (KYC) verification by capturing the Live photograph of the customer and of the various documents (including but not limited to officially valid document) along with capturing the Live location of the customer through a two-way video call between the customer and an ICICI Bank Official.
