VNXX Service definition

VNXX Service means the assignment of a telephone number (NPA-NXX-XXXX) to a customer using an NXX Code associated with a Rate Center (as set forth in the LERG) that is different from the Rate Center (as set forth in the LERG) associated with the customer’s actual physical location where such physical location is not within the same local calling area, or mandatory extended area service (EAS) area as the customer’s assigned telephone number.

Examples of VNXX Service in a sentence

  • VNXX Traffic shall be subject to the originating carrier’s originating access rates which shall be payable by the Party providing VNXX Service.

  • If a Party determines that the other Party is providing VNXX Service and is exchanging VNXX Traffic, access charges apply from the date that the exchange of VNXX Traffic began.

  • For purposes of determining the relative use factor, the terminating carrier is responsible for ISP-Bound traffic and the Party that provides a VNXX Service shall be responsible for any VNXX Traffic facilitated by such VNXX Service.

  • For purposes of this Agreement, calls to or from a VNXX Service is “VNXX Traffic”.

  • VNXX Traffic (including any VNXX Traffic which is ISP-Bound Traffic) shall be subject to the originating carrier’s originating access rates which shall be payable by the Party providing VNXX Service.


More Definitions of VNXX Service

VNXX Service means the assignment to an end user by a Party of a telephone number (NPA-NXX-XXXX) having an NXX Code associated with a Rate Center (as set forth in the LERG) that is not within the same Local Calling Area as the geographic location of the End User’s premise. For purposes of this Agreement, VNXX Service shall not include (i) CenturyLink’s tariffed FX service or (ii) a service offered by a Party to its end users for an expanded geographic calling area when such service requires the end users to pay charges for Telephone Toll Services to an IXC or charges which are equivalent to the tariffed charges of an IXC f or such Telephone Toll Service.

VNXX Service means the assignment to an End User of a telephone number (NPA-NXX- XXXX) having an NXX Code associated with a Rate Center (as set forth in the LERG) that is not within the same Local Calling Area as the geographic location of the End User’s premise. For purposes of this Agreement, VNXX Service shall not include (i) CenturyLink’s tariffed FX service or (ii) a service offered by a Party to its End Users for an expanded geographic calling area when such service requires the End Users to pay charges for Telephone Toll Services to an IXC or charges which are equivalent to the tariffed charges of an IXC for such Telephone Toll Service or (iii) originating 8XX traffic. A Party whose End User is assigned a telephone number that falls within this definition, including any End User of its wholesale customers, is the Party that provides the VNXX Service. “Virtual NXX Traffic” (“VNXX Traffic”) refers to calls originated from or terminated to an NPA- NXX-XXX that was assigned using a VNXX Service.

VoIP-PSTN Traffic is traffic which is exchanged between a CenturyLink End User and the CLEC End User in Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) format that originates from and/or terminates to a Party’s End User customer in Internet Protocol (IP) format, as determined in the order issued by the Federal Communications Commission in Docket No. 01-92, In the Matter of Developing a Unified Intercarrier Compensation Regime, effective December 29, 2011 (FCC’s ICC Order).

Related to VNXX Service

  • CMU Service means the Central Moneymarkets Unit Service, operated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority;

  • 911 Service means a universal telephone number which gives the public direct access to the Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”). Defined terms used in this XXXX, but not defined herein, are defined in the Supplemental Terms and Conditions in Attachment 3.

  • Generation Service means the sale of electricity, including ancillary services such as the provision of reserves, to a Customer by a Competitive Supplier.

This definition does not include any video programming provided by a commercial mobile service provider defined in 47 USC 332(d) or provided solely as part of, and via, a service that enables users to access content, information, electronic mail, or other services offered over the public internet.

  • Testing service means a national testing service selected by the board.

  • Police Service ’ means the South African Police Service established in terms of section 5(1) of the South African Police Service Act;

  • Telecom Service Provider means any Telecom operator in India, who is licensed by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Government of India to provide telecom services to the general public or to the other DOT licensed Telecom operators. "Telecom Service Provider" also refers to any Telecom operator in other countries providing telecom services to general public of that country or to other telecom operators of the same country.
