Within the course and scope of employment definition

Within the course and scope of employment as used in this clause shall mean that the worker was performing duties as assigned, in conformance with the direction of the Contractor or a subcontractor or an agreement with the Contractor, and in furtherance of the work under this Contract.

  • Scope of Services or “Scope of Work” means the work to be performed by the Proposer or Consultant as described in Section 2.0 of this RFP, as amended thereto.

  • Length of Employment means the period of time since an employee last became a full-time or part-time employee in a permanent or term position for purposes of calculating all entitlements pursuant to this Agreement including, but not limited to, vacation, bonus vacation and pre-retirement leave and “Length of Service” shall have a similar meaning. Conversion from full-time or part-time status to casual status shall be considered a break in service and no period of casual employment or prior full-time or part-time employment in a permanent or term position shall be included in an employee’s length of employment or length of service even when a casual employee subsequently becomes a full-time or part-time employee.

  • Autism spectrum disorder means a neuro-developmental condition typically appearing in the first three years of life that significantly affects a person's ability to communicate, understand relationships and relate to others, and is frequently associated with unusual or stereotypical rituals or behaviours.

  • Place of employment means an area under the control of a public or private employer that employees normally frequent during the course of employment, including, but not limited to, work areas, employee lounges, restrooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, employee cafeterias, and hallways. A private residence is not a "place of employment" unless it is being used as a licensed child care, adult day care, or health care facility.

  • Defendants’ Releasees means Defendants and their current and former parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, successors, predecessors, assigns, assignees, partnerships, partners, trustees, trusts, employees, Immediate Family Members, insurers, reinsurers, and attorneys.

  • Employment agency means a person regularly undertaking with or without compensation to procure employees for an employer or to procure for employees opportunities to work for an employer and includes an agent of such a person.

  • Violent criminal activity means any criminal activity that has as one of its elements the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force substantial enough to cause, or be reasonably likely to cause, serious bodily injury or property damage.

  • Company Employee Agreement means each management, employment, severance, retention, transaction bonus, change in control, consulting, relocation, repatriation or expatriation agreement or other Contract between: (a) any of the Company Entities or any Company Affiliate; and (b) any Company Associate, other than any such Contract that is terminable “at will” (or following a notice period imposed by applicable Legal Requirements) without any obligation on the part of any Company Entity or any Company Affiliate to make any severance, termination, change in control or similar payment or to provide any benefit.

  • Sub-consultant means an entity to whom the Consultant intends to subcontract any part of the Services while the Consultant remains responsible to the Procuring Entity during the whole performance of the Contract.

  • Investor Relations Activities means any activities, by or on behalf of the Company or a shareholder of the Company, that promote or reasonably could be expected to promote the purchase or sale of securities of the Company, but does not include:

  • continuing professional development means the continuing professional development contemplated in section 32;
