WSIB Act definition

WSIB Act means the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997, S.O. 1997, c. 16, Sched. A., as amended, and the regulations thereunder.

  • Alternatively, if the successful Bidder(s) is an Independent Operator and is not categorized under Class G: Construction, the Bidder(s) shall submit a letter, from the WSIB, confirming that s/he has Independent Operator Status under the WSIB Act for work to be carried out for the Township of Ramara.

  • Consistent with the requirements as set out under the provincial W.S.I.B. Act, employees required to lose time on the day they suffer an injury while at work, will have their normal time made up by the TTC for the day of the injury.

  • Sick leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work with or without full pay by virtue of being sick or disabled, or because of an accident for which compensation is not payable under the WSIB Act.

  • The Company and The Union agree that Health Services, Safety, and The Union will, on request, provide either party, copies of any relevant documentation that is allowed by the WSIB Act, including but not limited to early and safe return to work documentation, and functional abilities information.

  • For absences due to a disability resulting in WSIB benefits, an affected employee will accrue seniority and be eligible for insured benefits in accordance with WSIB Act.

  • FOI Act means the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and any subordinate legislation made under that Act or any code issued pursuant to sections 45 or 46 of that Act or any guidance issued by the Information Commissioner;

  • IT Act means the Income Tax Act, 1961;

  • 2012 Act means the Health and Social Care Act 2012;

  • the 1988 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1988.

  • Cannabis Act means An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts, S.C. 2018, c. 16, as amended from time to time.

  • the 1998 Act (“Deddf 1998”) means the Teaching and Higher Education Act 1998;

  • Privacy Act means the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • 1990 Act means the Town and Country Planning Act 1990;

  • FAIS Act means the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (Act No. 37 of 2002);

  • the 1991 Act means the Water Industry Act 1991(a);

  • the 1989 Act means the Local Government and Housing Act 1989;

  • the 1961 Act means the Land Compensation Act 1961(d); “the 1965 Act” means the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965(e); “the 1980 Act” means the Highways Act 1980(f);

  • the 1992 Act means the Local Government Finance Act 1992;

  • OHS Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004;

  • EP Act means the Environmental Protection Xxx 0000;

  • WHS Act means the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) or the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2012 (NT), where applicable. WHS EPH means Workplace Health and Safety Entry Permit Holders under the WHS Act. Workplace Impairment Policy and Procedures means the Workplace Impairment Policy and Procedures found in APPENDIX 4.

  • TIF Act means Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174 through 469.1794, both inclusive.
