Xxxxx AmeriCorps Education Award. Upon successful completion of the Member’s term of service, the Member will receive an education award from the National Service Trust. Successful completion includes serving the full term of service AND serving at least the minimum total service hours listed on the last page of this agreement. The current education award amount for full-time (1,700-hour) Members is $7,395.00. The current education award amount for Members enrolling in and completing a 1,200- hour term is $5,176.50. The current education award amount for Members enrolling in and completing a half-year (900-hour) term is $3,697.50. Education awards can be used to repay qualified student loans, to pay the cost of attending qualified institutions of higher education (including certain vocational programs), or to pay current expenses while participating in an approved school-to-work program. Xxxxx AmeriCorps Education Award. Upon successful completion of the full term of service, the Member will receive a Xxxxx AmeriCorps (herein after “Education Award”) in the amount of $6,195 (pre-tax) from the National Service Trust. The following conditions also apply: a. Prior to using the Education Award, the Member agrees (if the Member has not yet received a high school diploma or its equivalent including an alternative diploma or certificate for individuals with learning disabilities) to obtain a high school diploma or its equivalent. This requirement can be waived if the Member is enrolled in an institution of higher education on an ability to benefit basis or the TerraCorps Program has waived this requirement due to the results of the Member’s education assessment. b. The Member must use the Education Award within seven (7) years after the completion of the term of service. c. The Member understands that their failure to disclose to the TerraCorps Program any history of having been released for cause from another AmeriCorps program will render them ineligible to receive the Education Award.

  • Cooperative education program means a written voluntary agreement between and among districts to provide certain educational programs for pupils in certain groups of districts.
