Board of Governors. (a) All the powers of the Corporation shall be vested in the Board of Governors.
Board of Governors. 1. The Academy shall be governed by a Board consisting of eleven members in total. Nine members shall be elected by the As- sembly taking due account of their qualifica- tions and experience as well as the principle of equitable geographical distribution. In ad- dition, UNODC and the Republic of Austria are each entitled to appoint one member. The members of the Board shall serve in their in- dividual capacity for a term of six years and shall be eligible for re-election/ re- appointment for not more than one additional term. At the first election five members shall be elected for a period of only three years.
Board of Governors. 1. Each ESM Member shall appoint a Gov- ernor and an alternate Governor. Such ap- pointments are revocable at any time. The Governor shall be a member of the govern- ment of that ESM Member who has respon- sibility for finance. The alternate Governor shall have full power to act on behalf of the Governor when the latter is not present.
