(a) This Agreement shall be subject to the completion by the United States of America and the Kingdom of the Netherlands of their respec- tive applicable internal procedures for entry into force. The Govern- ments of the United States of America and the Kingdom of the Nether- lands shall thereupon exchange instruments indicating that such measures have been completed. This Agreement shall enter into force on the date of entry into force of the U.S-EU Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement.
(b) In the event of termination of the U.S.-EU Mutual Legal Assis- tance Agreement, this Agreement shall be terminated at the same time, and application of the original text of the 1981 Mutual Assistance Treaty shall resume six months after the notice of termination. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized by their respective Governments, have signed this Agreement. DONE at The Hague, in duplicate, 29 September 2004, in the Dutch and English languages, both texts being equally authentic.
