Absence for Birth or Adoption. An Employee may be absent from work for five (5) days at the time of the birth of her child or the adoption of a child or where there is a termination of pregnancy in or after the twentieth (20th) week of pregnancy. The first two (2) days of absence will be with pay if the Employee is credited with sixty (60) days of uninterrupted service. This leave may be divided into days at the request of the Employee. It may not be taken once fifteen (15) days have expired since the child's arrival at the home of her father or mother or after the termination of pregnancy.

  • Leave of Absence for College Committees An employee whose assigned work schedule would prevent her/him from attending meetings of a college committee to which s/he has been elected or appointed, will be granted a leave of absence from her/his regular duties without loss of pay or other entitlements to attend such meeting(s). Where such leave is granted, the employer will replace the employee as necessary. Costs arising from this provision will not be charged against the program area of the participating employee.

  • Notification of Absence To be entitled to payment in accordance with this clause the employee shall meet the following criteria;

  • Leave of Absence for Union Business (a) The Employer shall grant leaves of absence to employees to attend Union Conventions, negotiations of the Collective Agreement with the Employer and other Union business. The Union agrees that such leave will not unduly affect the proper operations or be detrimental to the proficient operations of the Employer.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

  • Payment Formula and Leave of Absence The payment of salary, benefits and the timing of the period of leave shall be as follows:

  • Application for Leave of Absence 25.01 All leaves of absence without pay and any extension thereof must be applied for in writing to the Mayor or his designee, on forms supplied by the Employer, at least ten (10) working days prior to the proposed commencement of the leave except in serious or unusual circumstances, as determined by the Employer. Notification of the approval or denial of their requested leave shall be given to the employee in writing within five (5) working days after the submission of the request. Any denial of a requested leave shall include the reason for the denial.

  • Maintaining Eligibility for Employer Contribution The employer's contribution continues as long as the employee remains on the payroll in an insurance eligible position. Employees who complete their regular school year assignment shall receive coverage through August 31.

  • SALARY DETERMINATION FOR EMPLOYEES IN ADULT EDUCATION PCA Article B.3 does not apply in School District No. 34 (Abbotsford).

  • Discontinuation of Service If there are unavoidable reasons (including but not limited to technical reasons), SORACOM may discontinue provision of the SORACOM Air Global Service in whole or part.
