Common use of Absentee Clause in Contracts

Absentee. An “absentee” for the purpose of this Article is an employee who (a) does not work on the Au- thorized Holiday and who is absent from assigned work on the scheduled work day next preceding and the scheduled work day next following the Holiday, without being excused by the supervisor prior to such absence, or (b) is absent on the Holiday without being excused by the supervisor prior to such absence.
