Academic Calendar. 17.1 The Academic Calendar of the District, in terms of the beginning and ending dates of days of instruction, holidays, etc., shall be developed by the District in consultation with the Association. Recognizing that the arrangements of the calendar in terms of beginning and ending dates, holidays, etc., are of concern to the Association, the District will develop an academic calendar by a committee composed of representatives from the Association, Faculty Senate, and the District. The function of this committee is to recommend the academic calendar to the District and the Association prior to recommendation to the superintendent/president who, in turn, shall recommend the academic calendar to the Governing Board.
