Common use of ACCELERATED SALARY STEP INCREASES Clause in Contracts

ACCELERATED SALARY STEP INCREASES. a. At the request of the appointing authority, the County Executive or designee may approve acceleration of a salary step increase to any higher step in the salary range for that class at any time based upon exceptional performance or for retention purposes. b. Such salary step acceleration under this provision shall not be subject to the grievance procedure. c. Receipt of an accelerated salary step increase shall not have any effect on the employee’s date of eligibility for other salary step increases as described in the Section 11.4 for Salary Step Increases.
