Common use of Access to New Members Clause in Contracts

Access to New Members. The Employer will provide the Union reasonable access to all newly hired persons entering the bargaining unit within ninety (90) days of such hire or entry into the unit. The Employer will allow the Union up to thirty (30) minutes to meet with such newly hired persons entering the bargaining unit. The access can occur either as the last item during orientation or at a mutually agreed upon time between the Employer and the Union. The Union’s right to meet with newly hired persons entering the bargaining unit shall occur during the employee's normal working hours and at their usual worksite, usual site of orientation, or a mutually agreed upon location.
