PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. 25.1 The Employer and the Union acknowledge that this Agreement provides, through the Grievance Procedure contained therein, for an orderly settlement of grievances or disputes which may arise between the parties. Accordingly, the parties agree that the public interest requires the uninterrupted performance of all University services and to this end pledge to prevent or eliminate any conduct contrary to that objective. Therefore, during the life of this Agreement there shall be no work stoppage or any other form of concerted job action by employees in the bargaining units, nor will the Union authorize or condone such activity in form.
25.2 Should the employees engage in any unauthorized concerted action, a Joint Labor/Management Committee shall immediately convene and shall continue to meet until the dispute is settled, and the employees involved shall immediately return to work and continue working. Any employee who refuses to perform his/her work may be subject to disciplinary action.
25.3 There will be no strike or lockout regarding any matters pertaining to the contents of this Agreement.
25.4 Any action of the Employer in closing the University during any unauthorized concerted action, riot, or civil disturbance for the protection of the institution, its property, or its employees shall not be deemed a lockout.
25.5 Employees covered by this Agreement who would engage in any prohibited activity as defined above shall be subject to disciplinary action by the Employer, including discharge.

24.2 Employees covered by this Agreement who would engage in any prohibited activity as defined above may be subject to disciplinary action by the Employer, including discharge.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. The Employer and the Union recognize that the public interest requires the efficient and uninterrupted performance of police services and pledge their best efforts to avoid or eliminate any conduct contrary to this objective. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to grant an employee the right to strike or to refuse to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. During the term of this Agreement, the Union and/or membership shall not cause, engage in or sanction any work stoppage, strike, walkout, sit-down, stray-in, slowdown, sick-in, curtailment of work, or interference with University operations at any location whatsoever provided that nothing herein shall be interpreted as to prohibit lawful information picketing. The Employer shall not institute any lockout of employees during the term of this Agreement.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. It is recognized that employees covered by this Agreement may be required in the line of duty to perform duties growing out of or connected with labor disputes, which may arise within the County. The Union agrees that no disciplinary action or other action will be taken by the Union against any employee or employees covered by this Agreement by reason of any such action or conduct in the line of duty.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. Employees shall perform their assigned duties to the best of their ability. The Union and Employer agree that there shall be no strikes, lockouts, slowdown, stoppage of work, or any interference with efficient operation of the Department during the term of this agreement.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. Each employee, while on duty, shall devote the whole of his time, attention and energies to the performance of his duties, and shall not during the term of his employment at any time, alone, in partnership or in association, be connected with or concerned in any other business competitive with the Employer's business unless written authorization is first obtained from the Employer.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. University officials reserve the right to enter a Student room/suite/apartment, locked or unlocked, at any time it is deemed necessary for immediate resolution of policy violations, addressing a disruption, maintenance problems, illness, hazards and other similar emergencies or potential crises.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. 16.1 Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to give an employee the right to strike, and no employee shall strike or refuse to perform his/her assigned duties to the best of his/her ability during the term of this Agreement. The Guild agrees that it will not condone or cause any strike, slowdown, mass sick call or any other form of work stoppage or interference to the normal operation of the Seattle Police Department during the term of this Agreement.
16.2 Neither an employee nor the City will ask for or volunteer to waive any provisions of this contract, unless such waiver is mutually agreed upon by the Police Guild and the City.
PERFORMANCE OF DUTY. No employee shall strike or refuse to perform his/her assigned duties to the best of his/her ability nor shall the Union cause or condone any strikes, slowdowns, or other interference with the normal operation as long as the terms of this Agreement are in effect. Employees who are involved in such actions shall be subject to discharge.
