Accrued Annual Leave. A. Accrued vacation leave shall not exceed sixty-two and one-half (62 1/2) work days maximum on June 30 of each year. Vacation leave may be granted by the Superintendent upon the written request of the employee, with prior recommendation by the employee’s supervisor. Vacation leave for an employee shall be scheduled so that there will be minimum disruption of the operation of the School District. B. Employees who request vacation leave in excess of thirty-nine (39) hours must submit the requests for leave at least two (2) weeks prior to the scheduled leave date except in emergency situations. C. Upon employment termination, the employee shall be paid as terminal leave all unused vacation leave as follows: 1) EMPLOYEE WHO HAS 60 OR FEWER DAYS ON JUNE 30, 2001 OR WHO WAS HIRED AFTER JULY 1, 1995 Each employee who has accumulated 60 or fewer days of unused vacation leave as of June 30, 2001 or who was hired by the District after July 1, 1995 will be paid for all of his/her unused vacation days accumulated at the time of termination of employment, up to a maximum of 60 days.
