Common use of Acting Assignment Pay Clause in Contracts

Acting Assignment Pay. a. Employees assigned in writing by the Department Head or designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if the employee is assigned to perform the duties of a higher classification for ten (10) consecutive working days, after which acting assignment pay shall be retroactive to the first (1st) day of the assignment.

Employees assigned in writing by the Department Head or designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and an responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if all of the following conditions are met: (1) The assignment shall be in writing. (2) The position to which the employee is assigned must be a budgeted position. (3) The employee is assigned to perform the duties of a higher classification for ten eleven (1011) consecutive working days, after which acting assignment pay shall be retroactive to the first (1st) day of the assignment.
