Acting Fire Division Chief Assignments. Employees in the job classificaiton of Fire Captain are eligible to be considered for an Acting Division Chief assignment. Prior to being considered for this assignment, the Fire Captain must successfully complete a qualification process to demonstrate Duty Chief competencies (Reference SOP Division I, Article 8). Once approved by the Fire Chief for Acting Division Chief assignments, employees in the classfication of Fire Captain assigned by the Fire Chief as the Acting Division Chief shall be compensated as follows:
