Common use of Active Military Service Clause in Contracts

Active Military Service. Vacation Accrual during Leave and Cash-Out of Accrued Vacation at Commencement of Leave Unit members called into active military service (other than temporary military service) shall, following their qualifying year of service for vacation, continue to accrue vacation during their military service, subject to the same maximum accrual requirements as active City employees. To avoid reaching maximum accrual during an extended leave, employees may request cash payment of accrued, but unused vacation time as of the date of the commencement of their military leave.
