Activities of Daily Living (ADLs. Assistance with and/or supervision of ADLs shall be provided in a safe and hygienic manner that recognizes an individual’s dignity and right to privacy. Assistance with ADLs may be provided by staff or trained volunteers and is limited to providing a verbal or visual prompt to initiate the ADL in a manner that encourages the maximum level of independence. The participant must be able to physically complete the ADL. Social Services: Education and support shall be provided to participants and their families/caregivers on issues jointly agreed upon. Staff shall assess the families' needs and assist them in gaining access to additional services as needed.
