Personal Care Services. Assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living. This service includes assistance with preparation of meals, but does not include the cost of the meals. This service may also include housekeeping chores such as bed making, dusting and vacuuming, which are incidental to the care furnished or are essential to the health and welfare of the enrollee, rather than the enrollee's family.
Personal Care Services. Targeted case management services (except Mental Health targeted case management which is a covered service for MinnesotaCare caretaker adults to the degree that it is covered in the Medicaid State plan);

Personal Care Services. Personal Care Services provide direct hands on support in the home or community to an individual in performing Activity of Daily Living (ADL) tasks that he/she is functionally unable to complete independently due to disability. Personal Care Services may be provided to an individual by:
a. A Certified Nursing Assistant which is employed under a State licensed home care agency and meets such standards of education and training as are established by the State for the provision of these activities.
Personal Care Services services for a child who has a diagnosed disability and is judged to be able to benefit from one (1) or more personal care service activities as the result of a periodic comprehensive health screen or interperiodic encounter performed by a primary care provider.
i. Covered personal care services include all tasks to assist a child with major life activities of self-care and instrumental activities as identified in the personal care services plan of care:
A) Covered major life activities include, but are not limited to, dressing, bathing, eating, and personal health care maintenance; and
B) Covered instrumental activities include, but are not limited to, cooking, cleaning, travel, and shopping.
ii. The following services are not covered:
A) Personal care services provided to an individual who does not reside at home;
B) Personal care services provided by a family member;
C) Home health services which duplicate personal care services (e.g., home health aide services are not covered when personal care services are appropriate);
D) Transportation of the personal attendant to and from the child's home to provide services;
E) Acute health care services that are covered under other DSS regulations;
F) Personal care services when the child is eligible for or receiving comparable services from another agency or program; and
G) Personal care services for the care or assistance that would routinely be given to a child in the absence of a disability.
Personal Care Services. Personal Care Services are provided by trained individuals such as Certified Nursing assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) working under the supervision of a R.N. employed by a home care agency. Personal Care services include assistance to maintain personal hygiene and safety and activities of daily living. These activities include: grooming, dressing, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, care and assistance with prosthetic devices, assistance with transferring and repositioning, ambulation assistance, and client instruction in self-care. O. Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS): The installation and service of an electronic device which enables enrollees at high risk of institutionalization to secure help in an emergency. The PERS is connected to the person's phone and programmed to signal a response center once a "help" button is activated. The enrollee may also wear a portable "help" button to allow for mobility. PERS services are generally limited to those enrollees who live alone or who are alone for significant parts of the day and who would otherwise require extensive supervision. P. Respite Care Services: Services provided to enrollees unable to care for themselves furnished on a short-term basis due to the absence or need for relief of persons normally providing the care. Respite care does not substitute for the care usually provided by a registered nurse, a licensed practical nurse or a therapist. Personal Care Services. Helps you with your activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, cooking, and shopping. You may choose the consumer delegated or consumer directed model. A family member may be able to provide this service.
Personal Care Services. The Owner/Society will provide, or arrange for, at least one but no more than two Prescribed Services as indicated below. Additional Prescribed Services are not permitted by the Act. However the Owner/Society may provide personal care services at a support level as indicated below. Prescribe d Support

Personal Care Services. Personal Care Services are services that attend to the physical needs of citizens. All personal care services should be enabling and should encourage citizens to do what they can for themselves even if this may take longer. Tasks include assisting, advising, supporting and encouraging a citizen to: • to get up • to get dressed • to get undressed • to go to bed; • to wash, shower or bath including washing of hair • undertake oral hygiene; • Assisting the citizen with their toilet/continence requirements; (including safe disposal of waste); • Helping the individual to eat their food or take a drink; • Administer/Prompt the citizen to take medication (in line with the Medication Management Procedure outlined in the NCC Core Policies – Care at Home document (available on request from the Council) • Assisting an Individual with their mobility needs including prompting regarding basic exercise regime.
